My ONLY heat! 1860 home!
I have to defend these heaters for their quality and efficiency. I own 9 of these and they are my only heat source in an old 1860's 3 story house. I will say before we upgraded some of our insulation, they worked overtime to keep the temperature at 67 during winter here in upstate ny. When the air is wet and cold in the single digits we can barely keep it at 66 to 67. That being said, our home still has wall insulation rated R13 instead of R21 which is the lowest recommended insulation for our area. The outside walls have not been wrapped properly either. Once we upgraded 2 large areas, these little guys pulled their weight and we achieved 70 degrees easily with single digits temps. Extremely easy to install. Safe and durable. I have owned mine for 4 years. Lightweight. Quiet design. I have heard about clicking noise being bothersome, but I am a light sleeper and don't have trouble with mine. The power bill is not too bad but is hard to gage because our power company charges keep increasing.

Longevity of product
This is an amazing product. Installation was remarkably easy. I just went to buy another tonight and realized I have had my current one for four years. It produces consistent comfortable heat. The highest setting is really powerful and its ascetic is nice. I think it is worth a-lot more then $200.

What a joke!
I was so excited to try these heaters. We have an older home and have used 1500 watt electric space heaters for years, no problem heating rooms. I kept seeing the Envi heater ads on social media, making these look incredible, very safe, efficient and could even help to lower our electric bill. I went all in and purchased three, two of the 500 watt for two approximately 10 x 10 upstairs bedrooms, and one 1000 watt for an approximately 12x 12 downstairs bedroom. Installation was pretty easy, I installed them when our outside temperature was in the forties. One upstairs bedroom seemed to heat the room well, the other, not so much. I kept turning the thermostat on the heater up and up and still couldn’t get the room above 67 degrees. The downstairs bedroom was even worse. I reached out to Envi customer service, thinking the 1000 watt should easily be able to heat our bedroom on a forty some degree day. I figured we had a defective heater and would exchange it. Customer service was a joke, no troubleshooting or anything, just told me that the heater would not work for our space and that we must not have enough insulation. Huh? That was based off of no questions asked by support, so it seems they don’t have much faith in their products working. No help with a return or anything, luckily I purchased through Amazon. This morning is our first truly cold day, outside temperature in the twenties. The heater that seemed to be working well upstairs is struggling, thermostat set the highest, but room temperature is 63 this morning. Second bedroom temperature is 53, that heater is also set to the highest. I just went out to our garage to get our old space heaters. Returning all three Envi heaters. What a joke.

Effective as a supplemental heater
Overall pleased with this purchase and product. Shipping and packaging were excellent, and the installation instructions and template are sufficient but could be better designed. I found the drywall mounting hardware flimsy and insufficient, so I upgraded to more robust hardware. The modern and clean look is great as the heater blends in and being that it is entirely silent it is both efficient and unobtrusive. In terms of performance, the heater works great as a supplemental heater. We use it in a sunken living room that is on a concert slab and tends to be cooler than the rest of our home. In this application, the heater is effective in raising the temperature by 2-4 degrees. We do not run it all the time, only when we are using the space. It has proven to be more efficient than a traditional electrical heater with a fan.

Love this heater!
I bought a different heater for a cold room. It arrived broken and looked cheap. I found this one by searching google reviews. It is really easy to install, looks very nice, and heats nicely. It's a great addition to our home.

Not as effective as expected. Not as “dead quiet” as advertised.
We purchased the 1000-watt model for a bedroom of about 120 square feet to avoid using noisy central air at night. Unfortunately, the heater did not meet our expectations, and given its high price, it was not worth the purchase. Here’s a closer look at our experience: DESIGN AND QUALITY The heater has a stylish and sturdy design with a high-quality feel. Inside, there is a compartment to neatly hide an extra power cord—a thoughtful touch. INSTALLATION Installation was very simple. All it took was a screwdriver and about 10 minutes to mount it securely on drywall. FUNCTIONS We opted for the model with a rotary thermostat, as we didn’t see the need to pay extra for a display and timer. Instead, we paired it with a Tapo smart plug featuring energy monitoring, which works excellently as a timer and tracks energy consumption. However, the engineers made a baffling decision regarding the power indicator. While it shows whether the power is on, it doesn’t indicate if the heater is actively heating or in standby mode—there is no heating/standby indicator. On the other hand, they did include a twilight sensor that dims the power indicator in the dark, which seems unnecessary. EFFICIENCY Our goal was to maintain a temperature of 68–69°F in the basement bedroom at night so we could avoid using the central air system. At its maximum thermostat setting, the heater performs as expected, but only when outdoor temperatures aren’t too cold. When temperatures drop below 30°F, it struggles to keep up and fails to deliver adequate heating. COMFORT OF USE The advertising promises “dead silence,” but that’s an overstatement. While it is quiet compared to fan heaters, the thermostat makes a loud clicking sound when it turns on and off, which is far from silent. Additionally, there are blue flashes visible inside during this process. After a few months of use, the heating element developed a faint but noticeable hum, similar to the sound of high-voltage power lines.

LONG READ, WHY ITS EFFICIENT
So we just got our forever home which is 3800 Sq. Ft. Compared to our older 2000 sqft home our bill is the same and this is one of the reasons why. Now to start out we now have a basement (finished) and newer hvac but we DO NOT USE THE HVAC HEAT AT NIGHT. the efficiency end of this come from a lack of a fan and a simple heating element using convection. No motor = less power draw. Now these (400 watt) units do not hear a room very quickly. But being on a thermostat means yoy can just leave it on and it will shut down when the room is warm. The problem with power draw on a full home HVAC is that once Temps drop below a set temp (usually 45 ish degrees farenheit) there is an element that run constantly whether it's blowing air or not. This is to allow system to begin blowing warm air when the blower system kicks on and reduce startup time. This happens always when the system is in heat mode regardless of the set temp of your air handler. (This is why reducing thermostat temp doesn't change your bill a whole lot) so we have 4 of these units. One in each bedroom. We run the central heat to 72 until bed and then turn system OFF. These heaters maintain fine but will struggle to bring a large room to temp if left off but ALL 4 RUNNING USE 1600 WATT TOTAL. that us only 100 watts more than a small desk heater from Walmart. In the morning we run the central heat to catch the rest of the house up, but staying warm without running 3.5 tons of hvac and roughly 5000 watts has kept a power bill of roughly 240 for this large house with all electric appliances. Down to 80 in the fall when demand is significantly less. We are in north Alabama so it's not crazy cold all the time but know how these systems work will help you optimize its efficiency. Lower wattage units tend to last longer, higher watt heat faster. And there will be a smell when you first start it up, INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO LEAVE HEATER ON HIGHEST SETTING FOR 72 HOURS. presumably this is evaporating whatever coating is used in the manufacturing process but it does go away once it's run. This is only my 3rd review ever. 5 stars. Stay warm

Wonderful Little Heater
This heater has really suprised me with how well it works. The rooms I have them in are small and I live in the Appalachian mountains so it’s colder here than other places and this heater still keeps my rooms warm. I have one in my bedroom and one in my dining room. I normally keep these rooms at around 70 degrees and on high these rooms stay at that temperature or a little warmer! I compare these heaters to the old electric baseboard heaters as they don’t have a fan but radiate heat. They have half the wattage of a microwave so now my breaker doesn’t throw when using my heat. I was using a floor heater before and now I finally have my floor space back. They were easy to install and the directions were easy to follow. You will not be disappointed if you use this in a small room.
