This training aid is excellent
I did use a more expensive device for pistol training and it failed. I chose to try one of these because of the cost. I received it and I was impressed by the quality. It worked so well that I ordered a different caliber and the two were still less expensive than ordering one of my original device. Yes, these are a good deal and I have not had any problems so far. Replacement parts are also part of the kit that comes with each laser. The fit is snug which makes them more accurate. I would by these again in a heart beat. With the cost of ammunition these are a great way to practice and save money.

Easy fit and well centered.
The product arrived in a nice metal case to keep it and the spare parts together and protected. Assembly is quick and the bullet is of good quality. I put light gun grease on the O rings and it easily slid into the chamber of my Smith M&P Body Guard. I use paper targets most of the time but have fun when using a target app on my iPhone where I can get ratings on my marksmanship. A lot of fun and great trigger and on-target practice without burning rounds. When done a pencil with an eraser easily pushes the round out of the chamber. I am going to pick up a couple more for my other calibers.

Many reviewers didn't read instructions...
I own this trainer in .40, and now in .45 and I like it a lot. I have the G-sight brand in other calibers and this has the same ease of use and accuracy as they do. Other negative reviews will mention things like the accuracy, the fact that it "doesn't fit" or "It didn't come with grease", and "it got stuck in my barrel". I read a few that mentioned it doesn't work with certain apps, but those apps are free so you can try them until you find one that works, or just use your eyes and look where it hits.Accuracy- keep in mind this is not a precision bore sight, and even more expensive brands could have a little drift in the laser if it's dropped or something.Fit- the o-rings are designed to keep the cartridge tight in the chamber and centered- the instructions literally say to use a pencil to pop it out, so that is not a flaw (my g-sight ones are the same way)Grease- bear in mind that the instructions are translated from Chinese so grease just means oil. You don't need special grease, you just need to rub a little gun oil on the o-rings. If you don't have this on hand, you shouldn't have guns since you don't know how to maintain them.Overall there is nothing wrong with this product, and if you want to save a few bucks over name brand, give it a shot. Even the expensive ones can be flawed or damaged. If yours isn't spot on accurate, keep a mental note of where it hits, adjust aim, and save sighting in for live ammo. It's well made, durable, and way cheaper to train with or maybe the only way you can easily train in winter (like for those of us in MN). Also keep in mind as far as accuracy, with no recoil you may be more accurate with a laser, but you may have bad habits with live ammo (I used to, happens to a lot of ppl). You just have to learn the difference and make up for it. Try using the targets that tell you what you're doing wrong if you're off center- they help.

Darn will not work with green lasers
Darn will not work with green lasers. Red lasers works perfectly

9mm laser trainer
Works well and is bright enough to see with no problems. Like that it came with a second end cap. Even lubing the o ring as stated in the instructions leaves you needing to give it a gentle nudge to remove it from your chamber.

Advertised as dry fire training device and bore sight.
I purchased this primarily as a bore sight. It worked with my Sig, but not with my Bersa Thunder. The switch does not work with my Bersa Thunder.I tried multiple things, but nothing worked.I could not get the bore sight to come on, when chambered in the Bersa.I had to order a new bore sight, one that is constantly on, once closed with batteries inserted. As noted, it worked with my Sig, but no guarantee that it will work with other .380 models.

Excellent Supplement Tool to Real Ammo
Bought the 45ACP laser capsule to try on my Glock 21SF. Per instruction, 3 included batteries were installed (+ up), and gun oil was applied to the o-rings before the capsule was inserted into the gun barrel. Dryfire with laser produced consistent results to what observed at the range with live ammo. Downloaded Mantisx Laser Academy app and printed some targets to start the exercise at home. Accurate, valuable, and a must have tool to sharpen shooting skill. The savings will pay off the capsule cost in a short time. Love it so much that I bought the 9mm capsule as well.
