Remington Orange Waterproof Dog Collar

My dog has gone through a few collars now, but haven't had to buy a new one since she got this one. The problem was that her sister would chew through her other collars over time when they play, but this one is durable and doesn't have so much as a bite mark on it. It also stays clean unlike the cloth/non-coated nylon collars. The only drawback I'd say this collar has is that it doesn't have a d-ring for leashes, and you have to use the choker ring. It works, but I'd like a non-choking leash option in addition to the choker ring. Overall, great collar.

GREAT collar for water dogs!!! We have an 80lb golden retriever and the 22 inch collar fits perfect (2nd largest of 4 punched holes). Our water loving dog is in and out of the pool, lake, or river almost daily... this collar dries quickly and does NOT smell. More importantly, it does not irritate his neck or skin when he wears it wet! Our dog has worn it a few months and it still looks (and smells!) new. It is very durable, and we have an active dog. We adapted to the leash ring being on top of his neck, and now love the design too.It looks like some sort of synthetic rubber, but it doesn't smell like rubber; it's very soft and flexible like silicone yet incredible strong (the punched circle where his collar is buckled is still perfectly round and the color is still bright orange; no signs of cracks or wear at all). We highly recommend this collar.Size note: We originally measured our dog, his old collar, and ordered a 20 inch collar. It was too tight and we had to exchange (no problems, thanks Amazon:) If in between sizes, we suggest you size up.

I have always bought Remington collars and these were knock-off Remington collars. The Remington name is always engraved on the buckle. These were not. Not only that, one didn’t even have a tag AND it had black scuff marks on it. Used and resold?! Extremely disappointed. Be careful who you buy yours from and make sure it is exactly as described.

We have two Rottweilers, and in the evening they can be hard to see. These collars, while not reflective, are visible from a long way off. They also stand up to rough play and are easily wiped clean after the girls roll in the manure pile. My only complaint is that the collars don't come any bigger (really need a 28").

I love these collars! We have a river behind our house, live near a lake and there's always some kind of mucky swimming hole on our daily hikes. It's so nice to come home and rinse the collar and have it be clean and ready to go again. When we were using regular collars, they'd need to be washed so often (some of that mucky water leaves an odor if you just try to rinse it off). Now I rinse them and if we want to go back out in the afternoon, they're ready to go!I also love the safety orange color. I have two black labs and the orange is the only thing that really stands out when we're in the woods. The leash clip is square, but I was still able to hang their bells (I use two bells on a key ring so I can always hear them) from it...so no problems there. These collars are absolutely perfect for our labs!! I'm probably going to order a few more at this great price...spares for us in case they get lost and a couple as presents for friends of ours who also hike with their labs quite often.

I was afraid that it would pull on my dogs neck strangely but it doesn’t. The ring is almost always on the top of her neck making it quick and convenient to attach her leash. This is a very durable collar. Can’t speak about the safety in the woods. I have not seen her get snagged. Has not faded after months of use and washes.

Second one I've purchased in 2 1/2 years. First one lasted 18 months with no issues. Only reason I replaced it was because the tag loop fell off and I have to keep his tags on him at all time. Perfect collar for any dog that enjoys getting dirty and playing in the water. Prior to this all the nylon/leather collars we tried would either mildew from the moisture or just couldn't handle the 80lb lab activity. Bright color makes it easy to spot outside and perfect for hunting.

First looks I was impressed. Feeling it in my hand's I was blown away. I'm positive this is a great collar. To be honest I never got to put this on my dog cause my nimrod ran into a truck right before I opened the box the collar came in, needless to say unfortunate. But if I were to suggest a collar, I would definitely advise for this one. I love the bright orange, not only my favorite color, but it's very vivid, and you can see it afar. The collar is riveted together, and the collar material is basically rubber. The collar can expand or tighten 4 inches in its postions.

I needed to get a waterproof collar for our labrador who loves to swim on our walks. I tried a similar product in 20" (I did measure the neck) but it was too small so I had to ditch it. I purchased this one in size 24" but it is slightly too big. Would be handy to have a few more holes to get it tighter around the neck. Also other color options would be great. Otherwise it works fine.

I am a repeat customer of this collar, and the product I received **looks like a knock-off** of the original. It does not have the "Remington" engraved buckle; the buckle is plain. The centre ring is far inferior to the regular heavy-duty ring on the previous collar; it is much thinner, smaller, and weaker; I am hoping it does fail. In general, the material of these collars is initially soft and pliable. After use, the material becomes hard and brittle and requires replacement, usually an annual replacement is best. The material also darkens somewhat after time. The feed store where I normally purchased this product was recently unable to get this product from its supplier, which is why I ordered it online. My dog is a water dog, and needs a waterproof collar, as well as a hunter orange collar in the woods. I have basically been quite happy with this product, but not so happy with this purchase. For the price of this product and its needed regular replacement, I expect a much better product than what was shipped. The seller should have given a discount and apology if unable to supply collar shown. If able, I will update with photos at a later date.

Got the collar for my water loving Golden girl. It’s awesome that it’s not fabric, perfect for swimming! The previous rubber one that she had (more expensive!) was destroyed within 2 weeks. That one is strong though..!! She’s had it for couple months now - no damage at all.

Well made, durable. Buckle is of high quality. I like the safety ring feature as I have a field dog. Should b easy to maintain and keep clean and smell free. Fit a little big on my 1 yr old GSP, but will punch a smaller hole until he gets a little bigger.

This is the second one for my Golden retriever. I bought the same because I was so happy with the first one. Love the big ring that makes it so easy to clip the leash on. And of course since she swims regularly it’s great it doesn’t get wet. It is soft rubber.
