Not what I thought I’d be doing at 2:44am…
I wouldn’t describe myself as someone that would write a review for a plunger, but here I am, clicking a link in an automated Amazon email at 2:44am.The tale of woe started after I’d spent a week in France eating the local cuisine. After I’d returned to the Shire of York, I needed to drop a load. Now, I don’t know if this was because I was back on my usual throne, or simply had a back “log” to get through, but this thing hit the water like a 5KG diving brick, and it flew straight round the pipe into the u-bend.I proceeded as planned; checking online memes, watching some videos, wiping and flushing. However, things did not go to plan as you can probably tell by the fact I’m writing a plunger review…The water pressure of the flush couldn’t lift the demon that rose from hell that evening, and as the toilet paper was forced into the cracks around it, it created a dam that a beaver would be proud of - “Damn” I thought.Cue the ordering of this product. While nervously awaiting the prime delivery, I’d poured about half a bottle of some serious strength bleach into the toilet to see if it could eat away at the blockade - all for nought though. It just meant the toilet water now contained enough chemicals to make my eyes water. Then the plunger finally arrived, and I noticed the handle was about half the size as it appeared in the pictures… crap. While submerged, the handle gave me about 3 inches of dry shaft to work with, and the cup itself didn’t mount the toilet hole fully which meant it was a messy job. Any plunger movement created absolutely no pressure and just sloshed the bleachy dirty water onto the floor.I opted to leave the bowl to drain over the course of several hours before attempting again. With attempted two, I gave it a could bit of muscle for about half an hour of trying different angles to get the cup to cover the hole properly and get the right pressure.Eventually the chocolate blockade was removed so I gave the product 3 stars for getting the job done, but it’s not without its design flaws.I’d imagine it’s a lot better at unblocking a sink though, but I don’t intend to take a dump there.

Never thought I would be so excited about a plunger!
I have a very problematic kitchen sink drain, so listen up.Some specialists told me that my problem will be there forever as the builders used wrong diameter of pipes. I am doomed to have drainage blocked often. Even plumbers who charge 100s pounds came, "tried" and failed, and still wanted their money. So I do it all myself, about once a month, armed with a simple drain rod and 1-2 hours of patience. The plunger I used to have in the past had a smaller suction cup (you can find many of these here on Amazon or at local B&Q). As its cup tore apart, I wanted to try a bigger cup and bought this Mario thing. The cup size is exactly what you want - it is powerful but manageable with one hand (you need another hand to block the feedback air vent with a wet cloth). Don't buy those huge plastic plungers also sold here on Amazon as they are difficult to manipulate and actually they are so powerful that the water sipped through the pipes in my case :)Now, Mario saved me about 4 hours of my life already, as two last times I managed to do without my reliable rod.I am writing the review as this morning I came from the trip, saw that the family managed to block the sink again (not their fault - see above), and before starting the rod works decided to try harder with Mario. It took some time and energetic plunging but 10 minutes is shorter that 2 hours! It drains as absolutely clean now, and this is second time in the last two months I managed to do it! As the last useless advice: I usually add some Fairy into the water aiming directly to the sink - I believe it helps dilute fats but maybe it is just a superstition.I never thought I would be ever so excited about a plunger!

Great
Would have given 5 stars if the handle was a little longer, but the plunger itself is great, soft rubber is what ya need as normal rubber like from a diy store when it gets cold it goes hard then cracks when you use it, this stays really soft creates alot of suction

Worked well
Used this for my shower drain as was draining really slow. Tried all other methods to clear the drain but never last long before the water did not drain again. Really happy with the result. Well worth the purchase. Weird to be happy with a drain plunger but did what it needed to.

macht genau, was es soll

Great plunger
This is one of the best plungers I've seen in my life. The stick is also made of plastic, which is in my opinion better because the wood one tends to get broken after a while.
