Moonlight Pool Supply aftermarket for Polaris 180 All Purpose Bag

This is a great product! Having previously purchased several Polaris bags that quickly became useless due to Velcro straps falling off, holes in the bag, etc., I am extremely pleased to be writing this 5-star review. I purchased this product in September 2017 and it has been steadily attached to my Polaris 180 since then. Very sturdy construction. Velcro strap is holding up like a champ!Two indications this is a great product and you should buy one:1) I have used this Polaris bag for more than a year, and there is no indication it will need to be replaced soon.2) I am buying one for my father-in-law. Was over at his pool recently and saw his Polaris bag in pitiful shape. Immediately thought to myself, I have a solution for that!Please tell every pool owner you know about this Polaris bag! The manufacturer has made a simple product and done it well! Don't send any more money to the others that produce cheap bags that fall apart in less than a year.

As someone mentioned before, this fits on WAY to tight. If you don't get it down far enough, it pops off once the sweep starts up. But to get it down far enough is a real struggle. And if you DO get it down far enough, then it's a struggle to get it back off to empty. I haven't had this issue with the dozen or so other bags I've tried. The usual issue is one of the velcro straps tears off after 2-3 months. I'm only a month into this bag, so time will tell if it loosens up a little and if the velcro straps hold up.

We purchased this bag in June 2013 and it has done perfectly for 5 years on our Polaris 180. The Velcro continued to stick on the throat and on the emptying seam from day one to now. The size is perfect for our environment to last one to two weeks between emptying's (in the South with a few trees around the pool but none directly over it). Finally, after 5 years, the fabric at the throat band is coming loose from the band and it's time to replace it. Needless to say, we'll be buying this same bag from Moonlight. Fantastic item!

My last Polaris brand bag lasted 2 seasons. I've only had this bag for 1/2 a season but so far there is no sign of wear or break down. I was initially hesitant to buy one of these due to some of the negative reviews, but I figured I'd try one out. This off brand bag fit right on, no problems. So far I'm very happy with this. If it breaks down early, I'll up date my review.*update 9/20/2012*So far so good, no problems with the bag as I end another pool season.*update 6/2013*The velco finally started to fail as others have complained about. I bought two bags originally so I'm on the second bag now. It lasted 2 years which is how long my name-brand bag lasted so I'll stick with five stars.

I purchased this bag in spite of the negative reviews in order to have an less-costly alternative to the over-priced Polaris bags I've had to buy in the past. I can honestly say that I have not had a single issue with the bag's velcro. My pool is near a tree line that drops bushels of leaves into the pool. The bag has filled to overflowing several times and the velcro never came apart. In addition, the collar of the bag fits better on the Polaris.I also purchased the red scrubbers for the Polaris. They too work flawlessly.I plan to purchase more of the bags and scrubbers.

Please let me say this is the second time I have purchased this item. The first on lasted me over a year!!! No problems. But, put one of the 2 news ones I purchased and it already has three holes on the netting. I was shocked it has only been on for a month . So I had to place the second new one on. Hope it lasts. I was really happy the first order but this new one is already in the trash.

Hope this make replacement bag works better than the last make I tried. Looks to be high quality so hope so.

Works well intallation is a little tight so far a good buy , see how it is at end of season
