Worked on a petite person's lower back
First of all, the company was supportive in helping us select the right product. Secondly, the rubber is softer and more comfortable than the two taped together tennis balls. The product is also much smoother, and rolls smoothly against a wall, which means that it can be used for massaging the lower back while doing squats for you multitaskers out there! It does not mark the wall. I brought it to my physical therapy session and my therapist liked the product as well, and wrote down the name of the product. What else? Initially the product hurt some, so I eased up on the pressure. As my back loosened up, the roller with increased pressure did not hurt. I think this, as well as my back feeling better, is a sign that the product, in conjunction with my other exercises has been helpful.

Very Good Product
I have use several gadgets and items for stress/pain in between my shoulder blades and base of neck area. This is by far the best and easy to use product. By using it 5/10 minutes three times a day, my pain has dissapeared. I've tried flat on the floor and against a wall, with good results, it will take you a few tries to figure out the best and most beneficial position for you. A bit pricey but worth the money, it'll basically last you for the rest of your life. I got the XL size. I'm 180 lbs; 5:10

Love RAD products!
Another rad RAD tool! This is slightly larger, slightly softer than a similar piece of RAD equipment but serves a different purpose. Gets deeper into those back muscles

Apparently not for lower back pain
Be advised: The instructions are for almost every part of the human body *except* lower back, which is where I hurt. Also, accessing the coaching videos will set you back about & $100/year, sight unseen. That said, these deep massage physical therapy devices do help many people. But for lumbar/sacral pain you should probably look elsewhere. If I get other advice from my physical therapist and orthopedist, I will return here and update.

Relief you can give yourself- note, they are semi-soft outside and a bit larger than a tennis ball
Well don't we all wish we had a massage therapist, chiropractor, or whoever you go to to help you out with your neck and back discomforts? I do! This is one of the tools in my box and it's a good one. It replaces my decades old tennis balls in a sock method and I was told was better because it stays lined up correctly...logical, so I popped for the significant price difference! I sometimes lay on the floor with my back or neck on this for a bit where it's stiff then bend my knees and start walking my body across the floor with these balls rolling up and down my spine. You can adjust pressure by the body weight you put on it. My back adjusts itself, knots release, posture improves by opening my front (pecs). Does a good job with laying your head on it or the base of your neck to relax, but for my neck curvature, it doesn't provide the above benefits as it does to the rest of my back. But getting Occipital+/C1/C2 and then a few lower C6-7/T1 and below (apporox.) it helps a lot. Some of the others with more than 1 are hard as a rock and not my groove. NOTE: This will arch your spine a bit, which restores mobility, but if it's not good for your condition, be aware.

Unexpectedly wonderful
Wonderful for my not-so-slight herniated disc Give it 5 minutes of your morning or evening and this will help change how much 'your back hurts' Really lovely

hits the hot spots
My son brought over the smaller version, but i bought the XL one, which he now likes better too. In comparison to the hard roller I have, this allows one to do a more focused pressure on hot spots, including your neck muscles, and a deeper roll across the quads, or a general loosening around the glute and back. It's also super small so easy to travel with, along with my "stick".

Best tool ever for releasing those tricky spots of tension

There is absolutely no substitute for this roller, and I've tried many. If you have trouble with your back between your shoulder blades shifting out of place, this roller is perfect in size and stiffness for shifting your vertebrae back. I haven't been to the chiropractor in over a year and a half because of this roller, and because I can treat myself so often (i.e. whenever I need to) my back problem areas have become much more stable and strengthened (my back hardly every shifts out any more). In my area, the cost of a single chiropractor visit would pay for this roller 1.5 times over. To use it the way I do, you lay down on your back and position the roller on either side of your vertebrae to the spot where it's shifted out, cross your arms across your chest tightly and suck your head/chin to your chest, raise your torso up a bit (perhaps an inch or two) like you're doing a slight sit-up, and fall back onto the roller (multiple times, if necessary) with increasing force until it shifts back in place. It's also excellent for tight shoulder muscles, for pressure point therapy/massaging. I'd avoid use of this roller on the lower back, as it's not meant for this area and injuries may result. You can use the roller on tight neck muscles for pressure point therapy and massaging - just don't go overboard with the pressure/force on your neck. If you're looking at all the options I definitely recommend going with this brand (again, I've tried many) - everything else available seems to be cheap knockoffs that aren't the correct stiffness or size, and this is very important to get right.

I like it and my husband loves it. He finds that it works really well on his back and neck. I find it helps for my shoulders and gluts. I would like to invest in a massage tool that you do not have to roll on it across the floor to use it, but he doesn't mind having to do this to loosen tight muscles. It collects hair and dust off the floor too easily, but is very easy to wash off quickly.

I love this product!! For rolling for pain relief and mobility, it’s great for thoracic spine but also for leg muscles as well. It’s a bit bigger than other peanut products and that makes it good for upper traps and glutes. Highly recommended!!

Too hard for my liking. I'll most likely go for the softer pair of I decide to continue using this brand
