Quality Tablet Cradle that holds a Kindle DX
The perfect mount for the Kindle DX. I purchased this to hold my elderly father's Kindle DX on a bracket by his chair to help him read. He has Parkinson's and his hands shake, he needed something to hold his Kindle steady. I tried several other tablet mounts but they all either held his Kindle too loosely or blocked access to the page forward/back buttons. Not this mount, its perfect, sturdy, easy to place and remove the kindle from, and holds the tablet rock solid with zero shake. I would recommend RAM Mounts and brackets for anyone looking to firmly hold a tablet.

Great mount for iPad on truck dash
This holds an iPad 3 securely in place on the dash of a semi truck. The iPad is easy to install and remove from the X Grip III after the initial assembly and adjustment. It is able to hold the iPad with a leather Snugg cover on it too although I found it is a bit particular in which edge is up, I,e, it is more secure with cover hinge down. Also I have this adjusted so that the bottom of the X Grip III rests on a vertical surface of the dash for vibration damping.A small issue with this product is that initial assembly is a bit tricky. You have to install the two side brackets and secure them with tiny screws that are a pain to thread-in while holding the pieces in place. Once the initial assembly is done the iPad install and remove is quick and painless.

Great distinctive mount - just enough to hold
Used this for three years now with my iPad and it is starting to show a little wear where one of the rubber "fingers" has the underneath metal piece starting to poke through. But otherwise it is the envy of everyone who sees it and wonders what it is. I have been using it in a large aircraft (C-130) to secure my EFB to the window glass using the RAM-B-166U mount. This really works well and is fairly easy to get the iPad in and out. It does take two hands (one on the iPad and one on the grips) to put it in and out. If they could figure out how to do that one handed, that would be even better. But this holds the iPad securely, upside down, under g-forces, in turbulence, no problem! And you can access every button / switch, even with a Otterbox on the iPad!

Best hands down mount for RZR XP Turbo
Ok, so I thought I would give the iBolt tablet $32 mount a try right out of the bag it was cheap and weak and I had a bad feeling I was going to hate it after my tablet hit the floor and we got lost on a ride.I reluctantly sent it back and purchased this RAM mount at twice the price.RAM Mount well worth it!What a night n day difference the RAM mount is solid and holds the 10" Vankyo tablet like a glove it does not budge. I like the squeeze release handles a new and improved feature that my previous RAM mount did not have. Mounted on the roll cage bar up against roof but only interferes with my rearview mirror slightly I can live with it. The iBolt tablet mount made the mirror completely useless. I wish the RAM was cheaper but compared to the iBolt the RAM mount is a great purchase and worth it.1st photo with tablet mounted at ceiling with Back Country Navigator shown using offline maps for Moab Utah trails.Second photo shows 8 different rubber grabbers that really hold the tablet in tight.3rd photo shows multiple ball mount locations so you can fine tune for your tablets final location.

Good mount if you have room and want reliability....
I found this to be very effective with the iPad 4th gen retina. Any of the same size will work with this. iPad Mini will NOT work in this mount. Other parts are need and vehicle specific please note this. Does have the Ball to snap in the other side of the mount. Other than that its stable, good cable management and easy to remove and put in. Very nice piece of equipment. I left a star out only cause it is a bit bulky, could possibly disturb the passenger, and when you are using it (vehicle stopped of course) the knobbies can get in the way. Perfect otherwise. RAM is a high quality company. I have had several mounts with them all fitting like a glove to the vehicle I drive at the time.

Works for my off-road navigation adventures!
The mount works well to hold my Asus TF700T (10") tablet. The tablet is the maximum width that would fit into it with the end arms on, it rubs on both ends as it goes into the mount.I use this mounted to the dash of my vehicle to hold my tablet as an off-road GPS. I bounce around on rough terrain and with the tablet in this mount I've had no reason to worry. I think that without the end pieces on there though that would be a different story, so be aware those really do help.I have two critiques of the product however. The first is that it feels a little cheap once you get it. I've been very happy with all other RAM Mount products I've tried and so was surprised that this just seemed a little chintzy. This is compounded by the fact that you have to add the end arms on if you want to use them. I understand that some people may not want them so they didn't install them at the factory, but the process to install them takes a few minutes to figure out. Finally, the springs on the inside sometimes find their vibrational harmonic when I'm driving around and so make a slight ringing noise. This could be alleviated with a small foam pad on the inside pressing against a portion of the spring (increasing the natural frequency past the range of inputs found on a car dash for instance). It's a small thing, but something that I'm taking a star off for.Bottom line, it works well for holding a tablet in my vehicle during rough rides, and I'd recommend it to a friend, but it's not perfect.
