The quality is good, your results may vary with the rear camera based on the shape of your rear glass. Installed on 2 cars, the one with fairly upright glass in back (Toyota Yaris) had no glare or issues with the rear camera. On another car, 2022 Nissan Sentra, the sloping glass/location of install created somewhat of a glare but the footage would be usable. From my experience the rear camera doesn't play as nicely with sloping rooflines in back.

I bought 2 of these. Sadly the second one I installed had trouble with the rear camera. It would work only intermittently. But Amazon readily took it back and sent me a new replacement with no questions asked.Nice clear picture. Switches on immediately when starting the car. Will stay on for about 5 seconds after shutting off the car. If you want to use the rear camera for a backup camera you will need to hook up and extra wire (red) in the harness and run it to the back up lamps +12volts. Normally you get the front and rear cameras displayed on the screen when driving. When you are backing up (if you connected the red wire) you will get a full screen view of behind you vehicle with guide marks in yellow and red.I did not try to playback the video on the camera itself but I did remove the SD card and download all the videos to my computer where I was easily able to view them. OOne thing I do not like is the video file are short clips of one minute each. Which is annoying if you want to view your entire trip to the mountains. You need to use a bideo editor to stitch all the one minute clips into a longer video.Also the videos are not MP4.....The are saved in the AVI format which is ancient technology.But for the price it is an ok camera and has all the features i wanted.

Installation of the rear camera was a bit cumbersome. I had to solder a bit of wire to extend the wire and tap it to the reverse light. Dremelled some notches for the wire to snake to the back license plate.The front camera is still working fine. The rear camera is exposed to the elements and worked fine for up until a year. Then the rear feed went white. I removed the tapped wire and the feed came back, but pinkish purplish at first and dissolves in. However it worked like that for about a week. Now it is a completely black feed for the rear camera.Image quality is what you expect for this price. It's decent. Audio is good too. With the gyro setting on, the camera will turn on with a decent impact...slamming the door hard. The date and time setting will reset if the power cable is unplugged. So it will start recording with the default date and time instead of the correct date and time.

I bought this for my 85 year old Father because he wanted something cheap and simple. There were so many to choose from and so far *crossing fingers* it looks like I picked the right one. Simple to install, simple to use.

My son was recently in an accident where the other driver left the scene. The camera caught the license plate number of the other vehicle clearly. I would recommend one for each car. We bought one for all 3 of our children as well as our own cars.
