Go Electronic 50' VISCA Daisy Chain Cable VISCA RS232 Cable for Sony EVI/BRC/SRG Series Cameras (8 Pin Mini Din to 8 Pin Mini Din)

I purchased this cable for my church for connecting a remote control unit to the camera. I actually ordered the wrong cable and had to return it. But it certainly looks like a very well made, high quality item. I would buy from them again.

We received item exactly as expected

The cable arrived on Friday as promised. I spent several hours at church on Saturday getting our new joystick controller to work. Part of the puzzle with the new controller was getting a long daisy chain cable and this one worked very well. We were connecting an older PTZ camera that only had an RS 232 interface to another newer one that could handle that protocol as well as some more advanced ways to connect. The cable did just what we needed and we could not have done it without it. The service today with the new joystick was such a pleasure over using the remote to control the cameras.

I ordered this cable and it did not work. One end did not function. I contacted the seller to ask for a new cable to be sent out and I would send the one I purchased back and was told basically that I was a liar that they don’t have any cables they make to malfunction. I ordered another cable from another seller and had no issues with that cable and it was the same cable as I ordered from this seller. There was no reason for this seller to speak to me the way he did. I would not order from this company again. If I could have left a zero star review I would have.

It is a silly cable. It works and 5 stars, it is! :-)
