No more awful hard bolied eggs.
I have always had problems getting my hard boiled eggs just the way I want them. This timer is great - especially if you have an electric stove.It works great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

Great visibility!
This item was a replacement for the egg-perfect egg-shaped timer and it is far superior. I wish I hadn't waited until the egg one broke, because this is SO much easier to see in the boiling water. Having the contrast of red and white is very helpful. The font is also easier to see. So far, I love this thing!

I love this product. I bought one for myself and my daughter and then later bought one for a friend and my mother.I mainly use it for hard boiled eggs and they always come out just right.

great egg timer!
Love it! Great price, works great! A few reviewers indicated a bad smell; put vinegar a small amount of vinegar (probably a Tbsp will do) in the water before you start. I didn't have any problem with a bad smell (other than the vinegar LOL) and the vinegar doesn't get into the eggs.

Great egg timer if you love hard boiled eggs
Easy to use and accurate. This is a must have if you like making hard boiled eggs.

Need MSDS
This product looks cute and works 80% accurate. The problem is that it smells very bad when heated. Not only this product but the water it's being boiled together with eggs smell a chemical, asphalt-like odor. I'd like to see a Material Safety Data Sheet for this product. Is it safe for food?

Works but smells funny once boiled
It works as described but the water smells funny once the hard plastic is boiled.
