Osprey Europe Men's UL Dry Stuff Pack 20 Hiking Pack

This bag is very waterproof and packs down small for travel. It’s made of a light weight thin material so putting sharp objects in the bag should be avoided. There is no structure to the bag so water bottles on the side but nothing inside the main compartment will make the bag floppy and a little uncomfortable on your back if you don’t take it off before you sit down. I’ve used it twice on long road trips in the winter. It has not actually been in the rain but just having it makes me feel better. Also I know it’s waterproof because when it got dusty on hikes I had to use the shower to wash the dust off. Inside remained super dry even under the pressure of a shower head and me “scrubbing“.

Very disappointed about this bag. I used it twice with no sharp object in it and there is already a hole in it! I trusted and pay more for the brand, but I'm really sad to see it doesn't live up my expectation. Would not recommend.

We took this backpack for a trip to Belize. It held two beach towels along with all our valuables. Very lightweight and easy to fold back into its own pouch. Perfect for a day pack. It does repel water but I didn’t dunk it in water to test it. I do recommend this pack!

When I saw this pack I fell in love with the idea. It's like they've taken one of their waterproof organizer sacks and converted it into a pack. It holds 20L of junk, but not heavy junk. There's no frame what so ever to support it. I saw it as the perfect "PACK LINER" for my sleeping bag, jacket and electronics to go inside my 50L weekend pack. After unpacking camp, this is the perfect pack to wander the woods further with or do a summit in...This also like their other ultralight stuff pack- it packs into an internal pocket down to about the size of a thick wallet. It's pretty amazing. I purchased the Poppy Orange color.The skin feels very well treated with repellant and the seams are taped snug.The only complaint - if I have to make one is the Osprey logo itself... its a bit hard to make out.Will update after first trip!UPDATE***Two weekend trips and I am 110% happy with this pack. Kept my stuff dry in the rain! The only downside of course is the lack of support. Easily remedied by putting a foam sit pad on the inside against your back- worked great/recommend doing so.

You can't go wrong with Osprey. I have a couple of REALLY nice TUMI and Briggs & Riley daypacks that don't come cheap and I use them all the time. I admit I can be a business fashion show-off. Although rain is iffy in CA, it can be unexpected. Also, I didn't want to get caught up in an AZ haboob or other inclement weather that could soak or otherwise damage my expensive backpacks during travels.This Osprey waterproof backpack is lightweight, has sealed seams, and works well as a rain cover. I can place either of the TUMI or B & R backpacks in this Osprey pack, snugly, just the right fit. I'm placing it in my 4-wheel laptop bag--just in case. Although the shoulder straps are a big flimsy, it's understandable given that this pack so lightweight. I tested and found I can tolerate the shoulder straps if its contents is heavy from having my TUMI or B&R (without a laptop) tucked inside. BELIEVE ME I do not want to go around toting a backpack within a backpack--I know it sounds strange, even to me. If I'm out and about, this pack will come in handy if I feel the need to whip out a backpack when I'm not using one on an excursion.I still want to replace an old Osprey daypack--I'm still deciding among the DayLite, DayLitePlus, and DayLite Travel --which are priced similar to this lightweight pack.Yes, this lightweight waterproof daypack does not come cheap, but it's definitely lightweight, waterproof, and better quality than its competition. I have a LOT of Amazon and brick & mortar store returns to complete because I needed to figuring out my needs. I'm glad there are different options for different uses.
