bought this for my Nintendo Switch, and it was a lot of fun to use. The headset is comfortable, easy to adjust, and the lenses can be fine-tuned to get a clear picture. It fits the Switch securely, and the build quality is better than I expected for the price. Just keep in mind that this works with games that support VR mode, so it's not something you'll use with every game. For the compatible games, though, it adds a whole new level of immersion. Overall, it's a great accessory if you want to try VR without spending a fortune. It also makes a great gift for any Switch owner who's interested in experiencing VR.

Tl;Dr great if you're a huge switch fan but not necessary for an average gamer. I'll split this review in two sections: The product: functionally, it's great for the cost. Solid build, comfortable for short term uses, I wear large glasses and it fit without major issues/scratches. I used the normal switch (no OLED) and the straps seem like they're not about to fit but it keeps the switch secured. Additionally, it got here a day early! I missed out on Labo VR but wanted to try out the features, so this really was the next best thing and possibly an improvement given the headstrap. Plus, my phone (while a tad smaller) for fairly well in the headset so I was able to watch some VR videos on YouTube. Practical Use: I only have a few games that support VR, and not many in general do. Breath of the Wild - probably the best of the bunch, the quality is definitely hit, but it's a cool way to experience the full game. You essentially act as the camera, but can still use the C stick to aim. Mario Odyssey - there are just a few predefined levels made, which is cool to see focus on it. However, they're incredibly short and limited in range, you can't explore the full level but rather stay in fixed positions where you simply turn around. Smash Bros - possibly the worst of the bunch. You can only experience local single player matches. No items. Only timed. Limited stages. And the really annoying part, the joycons must be connected to the switch at all times and nothing else can be supported. It's cool to see some of the full stages where available but it's not much. If you're a big switch fan who's been dying to try it I think it's definitely a must buy, but for the average consumer you aren't missing much.

No games it claims works with it actually work. With it at all. Waste of money. Cannot see the full screen noatrer how you adjust it and that is the same statement for all games. And I bought 5 games based on what was compatible with this and they were $40-60 a piece and none of them work with it. The screens cut off everywhere and overlaps all over the place it's a complete headache even trying to use it. If it worked I could see adjusting to the visual but when it's all messed up and discombobulated you just can't get used to it or even try to play it. Poor kids only gift he got was a waste.

It is simple to understand how to use an play whichever game you have. It's not an extreme VR but I think it's enough for a young kid that's new to VR an want to try it out. I did have a hard time getting the switch in the VR case. But when I do get it in the case I enjoy playing Mario Odyssey myself, I do wish you could zoom in though when you go over to a far side in the game.

Go this for my sons birthday for his Nintendo switch and he loves it

Not what I expected. Thought it would be better than it is and there are only a few games that will work with it and they make it difficult to know what games they are.

Works great with super Mario Odessy!!! Haven't tried it yet with other or games. But very good quality!!! I love it!! Its very comfortable and easy to use!! And it's portable!!

We're unhappy with this non-VR set. Up front, I'll say that this appears to be the best deal for what it is: a poor-man's VR headset. Unfortunately, these devices are so bad that my 8 y/o son won't bother using them with his super-cool, Nintendo Switch. Like many folks, I presume, we bought these "just to try" because we couldn't/wouldn't pay the exorbitant cost for VR extravagance. Still, my beautiful, 8-y/o, baby boy really wanted the coolest new thing for Christmas. Unfortunately, you don't get what you don't pay for. In this case, this item and others like it are just glorified Viewmasters--if you remember them. The Nintendo Switch dangling inches in front of the face just drags the whole rig down on the face. It's just terrible, but maybe you might like it. To be fair and objective, it's just a rig to hold the Switch in front of your face, but it was too cumbersome for a smaller head to function well at all. In the end, it was a nice try for us, but just... No.

I questioned my son as to why he doesn’t play with his Xmas gift and he said doesn’t work

As there are not many games on the switch you can use this, it can be a little dissapointing however, I think this is an amazing alternative to spending hundreds of pounds on a branded headset. I got this for Christmas for my son to test of he would actually like a VR set. He has played with this a few times so now I know that it would be worth splashing out for a top of the range one. I've seen a few reviews saying its uncomfortable however you can easily adjust the straps and as for the weight I have noticed absolutely no difference between the weight of this and the weight of my nieces occulus VR headset. Overall I would say this is a great headset for kids and perfect for testing the water before buying the real deal. Definitely do some research into what switch games you can play on here though as you may be disappointed with the lack of.
