Does anything extra have to be purchased for the gps or is ready to go as is?

This unit does not have GPS. If you have GPS on your phone, you can display the maps on this unit through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto while the phone is plugged in.

Will this fit a 2004 gmc sierra 1500

Not sure on figment but sound quality is trash. Have this in my 2011 Camaro and not happy at all. Will be swapping out for something else.
