Worked like oem on my 2014 scion xb. Super easy to program yourself just purchase a obd toyota g/h chip programmer(19$) and skip the big dealership prices. Brought to a local hardware store and cut for 2$. Buttons work properly and key fits Ignition without any problems. As far as value for money it's a no brainer.

I use "Topdon t- ninja programming scanner" to program key that took less than a minute. Only issue I had is finding a place that would cut the key. Ace Hardware refused to cut it since it was a key I brought in.. but they told me I could buy their key for $150 which was identical. So, beware you might have issues trying to find a place to cut it. But the nice guy at Lowe's cut my key "unofficially"

I bought this key for my 2016 Toyota RAV4 Japan VIN. It shows it should be compatible. I paid $100 for someone to cut and program the key. After cutting it he tried to program it three times with me there. The chip would not program, but the buttons worked. The company now wants me to send the key back which they will throw out and I don’t mind cause I’ll get my money back. BUT NOW I’m out the $100 that I paid for someone to cut and try to program the key. I have to now get another key and pay ANOTHER cut and program.

Worked like a charm. Just contacted a local locksmith and he had it done for $120. Saved hundreds compared to what the dealership was going to charge for everything.

High quality.

Took key to a bonded locksmith and got it keyed and chip flashed. Key works fine, but the remote unlock and lock buttons do not work. Battery was good, locksmith tried 3 times to program the lock and unlock function but no go. I still had to pay the 70 bucks for the locksmith fee, so including the key price, now I have 100 bucks for a key that works to start the car, but the remote lock/unlock does not work.
