The media could not be loaded.  Night driving video, I know this product does not have night vision because near the end of the clip is a Sheriff patrol car in the medium without lights on. The car is white, yet on the video you don’t see until you are right on top of it.I like the daytime video quality and the sound recording.This was my first Dash Cam DVR. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it due to the battery not holding a charge and the video file management failing to overwrite older files. Returning it was uneventful, just tell Amazon why it’s coming back and you get a choice of how to ship it back for no charge. UPS will pick it up, although you have to there in order for them to accept it.The camera was plugged in and assumingly charged on a 1,600-mile road trip and the battery never held a charge.The video file management did not overwrite older files and I did not receive a warning that the SD card was filled. We drove on the first part of the road trip and assumed the video files were recording. They did not and it wasn’t until we reached home that we figured it out. During the road trip we discovered the lane departure and front end collision warning are effectively worthless. I really liked the idea, but both kept alerting all the time for no reason.Yes, I reset the camera in hopes that the issues would be fixed, but that did not improve anything.The camera can see at night, but we noticed nothing to indicate that the camera has night vision. Yes, the camera has eight led lights, but all they did at night was produce glare on the inside of the windshield.Nice dash cam if it all worked. Installing it was simple, although if you buy this one you may want to consider hardwiring it.

We bought this as a gift for my husband's grandpa. He is in his mid 80s and still driving, although it is getting a little tougher. We thought putting a back up camera on his truck would help him see where he is going when he reverses or parallel park. He was so excited when he got this! My father in law was able to install it in his truck relatively easy. I like that you can move the screen inside the car so he can move it to whatever the spot is easiest for him to see it. Mounted it in the car after trying to charge the internal battery via my computer's USB port, upon disconnecting the camera a battery low icon appeared and the camera shout down. Thinking the USB port doesn't have enough power, I used the camera for an hour drive into work. The unit still shuts off with the low battery icon. Not sure what the problem is, but not a happy camper.Setup is somewhat straight forward but the "manual" is obviously written by someone for who English is a second or third language. Got to work and dismounted the camera to check on what was recorded, the camera is supposed to record in a continuous loop but that didn't happen. Will go thru the "manual" again for a hint of what's supposed to be setup to do that. The Q&A is worthless for troubleshooting.After living with the unit for a couple of months now and receiving information from the manufacturer, Accfly, the internal battery is not designed for normal use although it will get you through the setup stages. The unit is sensitive to bumps and jars which will create protected recordings that will fill the micro-sd card and stop the looped recordings. Lowering sensitivity will lessen the protected recordings which can be set for increments of up to 5 minutes before the next one is recorded. There are follow too close and lane departure warnings, which in traffic are annoying and I've turned them off. They are a nice touch though when you've set up the targeting lines.A couple of nice features are the lane departure and following too closely warnings, although the following closely alarm usually happens at a light where the cars are bunched up.

The item came broken. I did not realize this at first, because I had an extended illness when the product came an I wasn't able to immediately install it. Now the return has passed. So, I cannot comment directly on the functionality of the product, however, I can say that the directions for the installation are very brief and vague. The troubleshooting section directs you to sections in the installation guide that aren't even there. I'm generally pretty tech smart, so I'm sure I could have figured it out on my own, but I will never know since it doesn't even turn on. I'm very disappointed with amazon's quality control. It has really started to deteriorate over the last year. Things keep arriving late, broken, or not arriving at all.

This camera is really solidly built, it feels like a good quality product. The way I personally see it, is that the price of these two cameras (front and rear) is less or equal to the price of one of the competitor cameras of equal quality, plus they are giving away an extra rear camera!, take your time to set up the camera to the window properly, the front camera is a little heavy, but if you tighten it correctly it will stay in place.

I have not been able to use yet. The rear camera cable that came with this is not long enough for my vehicle (to send video signal from the rear camera to the LCD). I am not sure how to contact the company and get another ( I need two of them it looks like with some type of connector between them). But I also do not know the actual type of wire/connector to order. So until this is resolved I cannot use and provide a response. So the 1 star is only because of the short cable.
