This purring toy really comforted our 2 new kittens when they came and needed reminders of their mommy. A year later this toy is still being enjoyed and used and still purrs and looks cute. Good buy.

It works like magic when you get cats used to them as kittens. I’ve tried with adult cats and there’s nos effect.With that said, my cat is 3 years old now and I bought this toy about three years ago. I never had any issues with this toy and only had to switch batteries once. Even with the battery dying, sounding a little weird and not loud enough, my cat would come to me when it started sounding. No matter what. I always use it when my cat is too agitated or even being aggressive, or when I want to go to bed and he’s not in the bedroom. I turn it on and he comes right away asking for cuddles.. by the time the sound stops, he’s laying down by my side ready to sleep. I wouldn’t think twice before buying another one if it broke, but I’m sure this one will last a very long time. It’s easy to take off the battery and wash it, but I also haven’t done that too many times, since my cat doesn’t drag it around, it just stays by his side of the bed at all times so I can activate it whenever necessary. If you have a kitten, you need this toy more than any other.

I love it, but the kitty is having a hard time warming up to it. It is very soft. But like most new things introduced to a cat, it takes a little bit of time. The purring mechanism is not like a normal cat. It sounds almost like swampy type critters in an overgrown pond. Kind of scary sounding. But all in all it's a cute toy & the price is right. I gave it an overall 4 due to the "purring mechanism".

The media could not be loaded. I got the sloth purr plushy. The plushy itself is soft and cute, and my orphaned neonatal kittens absolutely love cuddling up with it. If you're just interested in the plushy, I'd say it's certainly worth $10. I purchased two and they both have held up really well despite going through the wash several times.The purr machine is easy to operate, just press it to turn it on and off. Unfortunately it has a ***very*** limited time span, probably around 60-90 seconds at most. The purrs are at the perfect volume considering that it is kept inside a plushy, but you have to constantly reset it which kinda defeats the purpose if you are using it to help your little ones fall asleep.Amazon "ideas": Smelled fine. Entertainment value was good for kittens, but my cats are terrified of them. Chewability - not a chew toy.

A few people have commented about the volume of the purr and while I don’t disagree that it’s louder than a real purr (which is almost inaudible anyway), I think it’s a really good thing. Here’s why:Newborn kittens are born deaf and blind, so this is perfect because they can FEEL the purr. Also, purring can have a therapeutic and healing effect on cats, which is why they may purr when injured or scared. One cat purring can prompt another cat to purr, so this toy might calm cats in more ways than one.We are fostering a 10-ish day old kitten (neonatal, bottle baby) who has a cold. She’s been struggling to eat or sleep and therefore, so have I!I needed something entirely soft and not firmly stuffed that would fit in her incubator and allow her to cozy up in/on it. This was purrrfect (couldn’t resist). The purr feature made me feel better about walking away when she was still awake. When I came back 2 minutes later, she was asleep.I can’t speak to durability or battery life, but even if it miraculously fell apart tomorrow it was worth it for her to be comfortable for the night and me to actually get some sleep.

My kitten love this lil toy. Its very cute and she carries it everywhere with her and she sleeps with it every night. She also loves to wrestle with it and bite it and it's is still in one piece and in good condition. It keeps her entertained for a while. When she's sleepy the purring helps her to wind down.i like how easy it is to clean, all you have to do it tale the battery back out and throw it in the wash. Speaking of, the battery life is really good I have yet to change the battery and ive had it for a few months now.and the purring is loud but not too loud. This is a great toy that can withstand a rambunctious kitten and still look good.Buy it!

I worried about my new kitten being lonely after adopting her even though I have older cats because I knew they would not love the new kitten. But to be honest all of my cats did not enjoy or like this. The product is well made. I can't complain about that and it's adorable. I just think that my girls were a little put off by it.

My kitten is from an outdoor wild cat litter.Transition to home was done quickly due to the situation and not having enough time to do it as I wish I could’ve.I crate train my kitten to have him build confidence and his first night was awfull. Him being used to be out in an outdoor grange spending his day between wood logs and the other kittens of his litter, he was terrified of being indoor.The noises, the different smells, the lights, vibrations of the floor, everything.The poor one spent his night crying and meowing.I needed something to soothe him. I started looking only for soothing kitten must haves/toys/aids and found this toy. The texture and plush on the head part is perfect as the rest is empty. The purring sound really mimics a real cat purring sound. I was afraid it would sound really fake but no!His first day home after his first terrible night, we received it as I had bought it during the night, being unable to sleep and to sooth the poor kitten as quick as possible.And wow!It helped him acclymatizing and gaining confidence. It helps him get to sleep mode and to sleep whenever night times comes. It soothes him and able him to calm his terrified fazes.Perfect for crate training (I have my kitten in a large dog crate with a litter, toys, small cat tree and a blankie) and for having them getting used to new environment because he was a forest kitten.Our second night together was way better! I was only woked up arround 5:30 am instead of consistent cryings all night having me to not sleep at all.He started feeling way more confident indoor today, walking with less fear arround and almost none anymore.He would look at walls and ceillings being completely terrified before.If you are doubting on getting this, just get it, this is the best purchase I did for my new little fur one💛

Lo he comprado porque estoy cuidando de un gatito bebé de 4 días y la pobre llora muchísimo buscando a su mami y hermanitos, y pensaba que la podia apaciguar un poco. De textura es muy suave, el ronroneo dura poquito y se nota de altavoz, pero de algún modo la calma, así que me parece muy buena compra. Envío en el día. Muy contenta.

Love the plush pillow, both cats enjoy snoozing on it. They're not impressed with the snoring feature, but it is easily turned off or removed. Great.

My cats were not interested in any toy for more then 15 minutes befor. I bought many toys but nothing worked. But this amazing toy even after such a long time they keep playing. I thank you Amazon and the creator of this toy.
