Great little pad!
I have had this for a month now and use it regularly (4-5x/week). Prior to purchasing, I literally had scabs from rubbing my butt raw on the hard Concept 2 seat. After a month, no more scabby butt! It's just as the other reviews state - thin, grippy and comfortable. It's also easy enough to carry to the gym - I just lay it on the seat and pick it up when I'm done. I was curious if the padding would be enough since it's so thin, but it works. The only con - it's smelly. After a month the smell still hasn't dissipated (sort of a petroleum smell). But it works. Buy it - your butt will thank you.

The PERFECT pad for my buns
Absolutely love this butt pad! The 3" seat cushions are way too thick in my opinion. I'm not sitting on a couch, I'm rowing... Anything too thick will change the way you sit/move/row. I have the Concept 2 Model D rowing machine and it feels like this cushion is made specifically for it. The perfect amount of cushion for the pushin' to protect your sitz bones and make rowing more enjoyable, but you can barely tell it's there because it's so thin. The grippy material also works incredibly well - no straps hanging down, it just stays exactly where you place it during the entire workout - Super simple and effective. I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't speak to how durable it is over time but it seems very well built. So excited about this purchase. Highly recommend.

Keeps me comfortable and doesn't slip
First, it really doesn't slip. I had been using a thicker cushion that strapped on, and it tended to loosen up - this one stays in place. It's also thinner than the last cushion I tried, but it's not any less comfortable for working out. It still provides enough padding/a better surface so my bum doesn't get sore when I work out. I also found that the thicker cushion put me in a slightly weird position with respect to the moving parts of the machine; the thinner one feels more natural.

Good seat pad
I used to use an old gel pad on my previous Concept 2 Model C. I was doing a lot of meters daily, and noticed I was developing a sore spot over my tail bone (coccyx, for the medically inclined). That gel pad did the trick! That was years ago, and I had sold that rower. Now I picked up a Model D, and have started rowing again. Saw this pad on Amazon, and decided to give it a shot. I've had it for months now, and it's fine, fits the seat well, doesn't slide around, not too thick. Very happy with it.

A little *too* sticky
Yes it fits -- we are using it on a Waterrower -- and it's a decent amount of comfort for the price. It does grip ok, but the material is SO sticky it also grabs dust and cat hair and everything, making it NOT sticky pretty quickly. And while it doesn't slide around during use, since it doesn't attach to the seat it falls off when people get on and off the machine (and, silly me, when we tilt up the rower after using). Might be ideal with some elastic straps to keep it from falling off when it's not between a butt and the seat.

Perfect—grippy, comfy and thin
This pad has saved our rowing. I was very skeptical of seat pads for rowing machines (never part of our erg routine back when I rowed in high school!) but after we bought a rowing machine and returned to using it regularly after our long hiatus, we both started noticing significant tailbone soreness that couldn’t be fixed by adjusting foot placement, etc. Luckily this seat pad was here to save our aging-millennial day. It adds a lot of comfort with remarkably little thickness (you can see how flat it is in the photo—essential for not changing correct rowing posture). Also perfectly grippy—it stays put with a great, unobtrusive-looking fit to the seat of the classic concept 2 model D. Works for a variety of body types, from 6’1” and bony like my husband to petite and better-cushioned like myself. :)The grippy seat ripples (on both sides) do attract lint like nobody’s business, though. If you care, ready the lint rollers.

Makes a difference!
It does provide some cushioning for my bony tush, but I needed a little more to feel comfortable. I added a small folded towel on top of it and it’s all good now. If you need to add a towel like me, just make sure it is folded well and not hanging over the front or back side. Mine got caught in the roller under the seat and yikes 😬! Hasn’t happened again. Hehe 😜
