Keeping Ducks and Geese

This book, "keeping Ducks and Geese" is VERY informative ! The book has many beautiful pictures and important information on all the different breeds of ducks and geese. The book answered some of the questions we had about feather changes we saw in our ducks. We have shared information from this book with others that bought geese and ducks but didn't know that much about them. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know about ducks and geeses. The writer/producer of this book did a wonderful job putting it together !

This Spring I have added a couple baby ducks to my small flock of chickens. Since I really hadn't a clue about what to do after I brought them home, I found this book. Its informative without being over wordy. Gets to the point and gives just the right amount of basic information needed to take care of these cuties. Love the illustrations and the fact that they tell you what breed the picture is of. Great book for a newbie starting with ducks and geese.

This book was very worth the $5.00 or so that I spent on it. Originally, I bought it for my 4th grader to use for her science fair project. The info is very basic, but it's a good starting point for waterfowl beginners (adults and older kids). I enjoyed the info on the various breeds (not a comprhensive list, but decent) and the photos that went with it. Overall, I nicely put together book for the low price.

Great book! Very informative, we are getting ready to buy ducks this spring and we feel ready because of this book!

Not knowing ANYTHING about ducks this book was not only informative, but the pictures of the different breeds was exactly what I was looking for. The pictures in the hatchery catalogs can't compare to the pictures in this book. If you're undecided what breed to go with, this book will help. The description of each breed goes into more detail than the hatchery catalogs too. I found the price at Amazon the lowest and purchasing Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks, shipping was free. Glad I purchased it.

Great Book easy to read very informitive.

This is a good general book on waterfowl, with beautiful pictures. It is not as thorough as Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks, but still overall a good book.

I purchased the book after reading the glowing reviews left by others. On a positive note: The book has wonderful color photos... But the information is far too basic... it lacks even basic care/feeding info. I'd class this at a child/pre-teen level. It will be a nice edition to my 4-h youth library. I will be purchasing more references to fill in what this has left out.

a nice back to basic book

Good little book for someone like me who wanted the basics with hindsight - having already taken on the ducks! Lovely breed descriptions, full of useful information although basic information was wrapped in with the rest and had to be actively looked for.

Practical. Simple. Knowledgeable. References key pages during reading the text.
