Worked right out the box. Can use wireless using the provided dongle, or wired with the provided cable. Had various settings in the manual that can be changed by scanning preset barcodes. I was replacing an old wired scanner and only need basic functions. This scanner was reading and registering codes smoothly and without issues.

I bought this because I saw someone online post how they scan books in their inventory. This does not work for me. Is there an app that I'm supposed to download in order to get this feature. I found the instruction manual dreadful. Nothing pops up when I scan books. If I open excel or Word, numbers pop up. It's NOTHING like the person I saw online (where a picture & description of the book popped up). I went onto Tera's website, but that was useless. Maybe it's due to it being Easter and no one is at work. Youtube does not help. The only video I found that may have helped is in Spanish and I do not understand Spanish. I will try Tera tomorrow. If this does not do what I hoped it would, I will return it to Amazon. Update: I changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars. I still find the manual not much help for me. I did figure out I had to use a 3rd Party app in order to download my book library. I then discovered I could use the camera on my phone to scan the books. Now that I’ve figured out how to operate this thing, I’m happy with my purchase.

Worked for a couple times, after that. Didn't work again.

I bought this to use with an online cataloguing system for my classroom library. I over a thousand books that I needed to enter into my system. I was just typing ISBN's at first, but knew I needed a scanner that worked to cut the time in half. This scanner fit the bill! I scanned all of my books in less than a third of the time it had been taking me before. It even works when it's a little dark. Highly recommend!

I work where I use hand scanners and like this alot for the price. The one I work with is meant for durability and this one feels like it will break if it’s dropped too many times.

Durable reliable scanner

Works for every other barcode, easy to use, long battery life but I purchased it specifically because it said it could scan drivers license bar codes and it does not.

Solid choice for a BC Scanner for under $20. Simple and easy to use, nothing special but works solid!

90% of the time it scans at first attempt but sometimes I have to scan the item several times for the scanner to read the barcode. Otherwise no problems so far!
