Chefaith Apple Slicer

I have used apple slicers for years and the plastic edging on my old one had cracked. I decided to try this one because it had the bottom piece to finish the slicing. I had been popping my old one on a jar top to get the pieces to cut all the way through. This apple slicer has several drawbacks and they are bad enough that I am throwing it in the trash. First, the diameter is small and will not fit large apples. Second, the bottom plastic guard is not attached and I have banged my fingers trying to use it. Ouch!! Third, the blades are thick, dull, and extremely difficult to cut through an apple. It has no redeeming features. I do not recommend purchase.

It works Okay, I sharpened the blades and it works better now than when I got it. I like the idea of the base it allows for a full cut through, no more pushing the apple through the rest of the way.

It cuts the apples well, but disappointed that the bottom piece is separate. I didn’t notice that detail in the description.
