I'm looking to use this with the elektron analog 4, mostly for external drums and sample audio clips from the computer. would this work, or the sp404?

Either would work, but you'll have more available samples (and longer ones, and more total time) with the SP-404 than you would with the Electribe 2S. It's a sampler but its real strength is the sequencer and live playing - whereas the SP404 is superior if you only need it to be a sampler and sound source
