I am extremely pleased with Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters, saying they exceeded their expectations. The bitters have a unique aroma that's reminiscent of a tropical paradise and are expertly balanced, adding depth and sophistication to cocktails. They can be used in a variety of drinks, including Tiki classics and modern creations.

Perfect for Tiki Cocktails, but also great for all sorts of other cocktails as well. It smells amazing and adds the perfect spice* to any drink.* It's got lots of fun spices, but it is not spicy hot - just want to make sure that is clear.

I love these bitters for both leaded and unleaded cocktails. One squirt in the bottom of a glass topped off by a neutral Kombucha, express some lime oil from a swatch of peel and you have an upgraded coke with no negatives. It's livens up a classic Manhattan or Old Fashioned, and of course its perfect in most Tikis. Love this stuff.

We have a Tiki bar and are always on the look out for good bitters. Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters has a wonderful aroma and taste, leans to the cinnamon side but is more complex than just that. I am going to try it out in a Teriyaki sauce for my next BBQ.

If you are making daiquiris or tiki drinks, or even an GnT with a little added flavor, these bitters bring a fantastic blend of cinnamon and other flavors to the party.

Upgraded my tiki cocktails

This bitters is a great addition to rum. Just a drop or two adds a flavor of spice and cloves to the rum for an extra layer of flavors.

Tiki bitters makes an for an excellent Sharpie Mustache and I will experiment more with them for other tropical coctails as well. The packaging is nice & i like the dropper. $$$ is only reason for 4/5 stars.

I was given the Smugglers Cove cocktail book as a gift and bought this to allow me to make many of the drinks in the book. Very useful with tropical or rum based cocktails.For me the key aroma added is allspice but it's a complex mix that seems to smell of different spices to different people - I note a different reviewer thinks it smells of cloves which is not one of the main ingredients. I'm also having fun adding to soft drinks - although they contain alcohol (and hence not suitable for people who are teetotal due to religion rather than preference), as you only add a drop or two, bitters are great to jazz up a soft drink when driving. This goes great with bog standard coke, making it taste like a more complex (and expensive) botanical cola such as Fentimens or Fritz cola. Don't waste it on your kids unless they are tiny gourmets!It's a massive bottle in blue glass with a pipette top so protected from the light. I've already decanted some into a smaller bottle and swapped with cocktail loving friends for some different bitters - this is my top tip for building up a variety of ingredients - because unless you're running a bar this bottle will last you years and hence is pretty good value.
