Does have folate & won't make you nauseous
I had been taking the regular Oxylent multi for about 3 years & I've been using the prenatal version for about 4 month now. It's the only prenatal that I can actually stomach taking every day. I could only take other brands every other day because they made me feel light headed and queasy. I love that Oxylent doesn't make me feel nauseous so I can drink it everyday! I also love how complete the ingredient list is including all the folate and iron needed for a healthy pregnancy! Not sure where the confusion from other reviewers was about folate vs. folic acid? The only thing I could think of is that maybe they got an older version from a faulty seller. I always make sure I'm purchasing from the brand itself on Amazon, when it comes to health products and not a reseller. Also the packaging for the newer version is very different from the old packaging. The taste with water alone is just ok. The best way for me to drink this is with a splash of juice and flavored sparkling water. Then it's more like a fancy mocktail than a powdered vitamin drink. :)

tasty and easy to drink!
This is my fourth pregnancy, and I have had a terrible time each pregnancy taking vitamins. I am too nauseous to take them, and I often also have a difficult time drinking even enough water to swallow a pill. I was very excited to discover an effervescent prenatal vitamin! I was a little worried I wouldn't like the flavor, but it's actually very good. It's the biggest glass of water I can easily manage all day (I try to drink as much as I can, but it's difficult through the nausea). I used to take the gummy prenatal vitamins, but they are subpar and don't include iron (and I would usually end up slightly anemic). I'm pleased that these effervescent vitamins contain iron. They are expensive, but well worth the price as this will be my first pregnancy that I'll be able to manage daily vitamins! I'm hopeful that these will help keep me hydrated and also reduce my risk of anemia, in addition to keeping me full of the vitamins my baby needs. There is a slight chalky/gritty bit at the end, as would be expected (similar to what's left after downing a glass of Emergen-C, another effervescent packet for boosting the immune system). It's not horrible, though, although I do wonder if I'm losing a slight bit of the vitamins/minerals that get left in the glass. Still, it's more than I'd be able to get from a pill that I can't swallow!

under the notion that they were doing more harm than good. If I'm taking a huge horse pill for ...
I never write reviews, but this one is definitely worth it. I'm currently pregnant with baby number five. With previous pregnancies, I had all but given up taking prenatals, under the notion that they were doing more harm than good. If I'm taking a huge horse pill for vitamins and nutrients, but it's making me so nauseous that I can't ever keep down real food (with natural vitamins and minerals), how much is it really benefiting me? Well, I've been taking this my whole pregnancy now and this is the first pregnancy where I haven't thrown up once from morning sickness! Additionally, I think that it's easier for my body to absorb the nutrients, as I don't have to break down a huge horse pill first. Some people complained about it being too powdery in a drink... My husband and I typically take Emergen-C when we feel like we're coming down with something, and this is no different to me. As long as you stir it, it completely dissolves. A lot of times I just swish it around in my cup of water and it doesn't even bother me then. This prenatal powder has been the biggest blessing to me! Definitely recommend!

Tastes like crushed Flintstone vitamins.
I am able to keep it down, I don't recommend taking it on an empty stomach. Flavor it needs improvement, it taste like crushed up Flintstone vitamins mixed in water. It does not have DHA and that's something my OB was stressing that I need to take.

I love this prenatal
I love this prenatal! I put it in the bottom of my tall glass, add at least 10 or 12 oz cold water, a few ice cubes, stir and drink with a straw. Seems you have to stir it up every few minutes to keep it all mixed up or some of it settles to the bottom. BUT doing it this way with this much water I don't mind the taste. Its kind of like chalky raspberry juice or something. If you've ever had the raspberry flavored Emergenc-E, it reminds me of that. It has the perfect amount of all the vitamins needed for pregnancy except the Omegas. I just purchased a quality Omega oil separately, Nordic Naturals Complete Omega. Overall I will definitely be buying Oxylent again and would recommend!!

Good Flavor
Yes, you may need to shake a few times but not a big deal Nice mild flavor and doesn't have the vitamin aftertaste like others. I do use more than 8 oz water, I do 16 so it is lighter. Would recommend.

Easy to drink & it works!
I've taken Oxylent as a multi for a few years and switched to the prenatal when I found out I was pregnant at week 6. I'm at week 33 and I take it every morning (in a blender bottle mixed with some collagen powder). I've had great blood work my whole pregnancy and I recommend this prenatal to any pregnant woman as a versatile alternative to huge pills that are harder for the digestive system to break down, especially when digestion gets difficult enough in the 3rd trimester! To me it tastes kind of like Emergen-C and I have no issue drinking it in a few ounces of water; some days I'll add a splash of OJ for the added Calcium + Vit D.

Great!
Fabulous product! It is a godsend for pregnant women who have a hard time swallowing pills or taking in Gummy Vitamins with morning sickness. I had loved the Smarty Pants prenatal Gummy Vitamins but halfway through pregnancy I could unfortunately taste the fish oil in them... bad news for morning sickness! I switched over to the oxylent and was so glad I did! It's very easy to drink with a slight sparkling quality, much like Emergen-C. I would definitely suggest this product! My only drawback from giving five full stars is that the product doesn't evenly suspend in water and there's always a little sediment at the bottom when you're finished...
