Quality Phone
Product from seller was a used item in very good condition. No scratches, all buttons and lights work. I use Polycom at my place of work and wanted a quality phone for my home office. I considered other new phone options from other manufacturers, but reviews indicated speaker and mic were not up to par. I was hesitant to purchase a used product, but for me, I wanted the quality that Polycom offers. The product was wrapped very securely, it was not in its original box, also did not include three items; RJ11 phone cord, user manual and the wire headset stand that clips to the back of the phone. For setup, I needed to clear memory top factory as the device had stored numbers on it and gave the device an extra cleaning before use. No biggie. The user manual can easily be found on Polycom's website. This phone new tops over $300, I am happy with product and seller. The phone is a good fit for my home office and have used the speaker many times already. Folks on the other end can tell the difference with voice clarity. Some buyers may hesitate on used, but I wanted to provide my positive experience. A useful tip, is the Polycom headset input jack is 2.5mm, most standard headsets are 3.5mm, so if you do plan to purchase and have a headset, amazon does set simple 3.5->2.5 adapters

Great full-duplex speakerphone.
Bought this phone years ago when I started working from home. A few jobs later, and with COVID, I found myself working from home again. When my original phone died, I found this to replace it. Absolutely love it.Key features -Full duplex speaker phone (I.e. - when you talk, it doesn’t cut off the speaker - difficult to find in a speaker phone)Big speaker, Great soundLoud adjustable volume controlWorks with a phone line instead of USB off the computer. I prefer this since I so often hear garbled speak from people using usb speakers when their internet has issues.

Solid product, but don't set the bar too high
I use this phone for my home office. Over the years, I've used everything from Panasonic to ATT to BT phones. Like many people, I knew Polycom because of their exceptional conferencing/speakerphone products. My criteria were price, quality and ease-of-use. I didn't need a lot of gee-whiz features. I've had phones with enough features and gadgetry to run the space station if you wanted, but all I ever did was use them to dial numbers and make phone calls. I do a lot of multi-tasking so being able to carry on a conversation on the speakerphone while working on the computer was absolutely necessary. I also didn't want something that felt like it was made out of cardboard. The Polycom has delivered. The voice quality is excellent on both the handset and the speakerphone. Conversations are clear and free of phantom noise/echo. Yes, people can tell they're on a speakerphone but that's just physics at work. There is absolutely no way that moving air (with your voice) 2-4 feet from a microphone is going to sound the same as moving air inches from a microphone. If there is some way to focus sound waves like a laser beam at the microphone, I haven't found it. The LCD displays all the relevant information. The volume is adjustable in small increments, unlike many phones which seem to only have "silent" and "foghorn" levels...Build quality is excellent. The paint and finish are very professional. Everythig feels solid, buttons are a good size and everything is clearly marked. The unit itself looks better in person than it does in the pictures. No, this doesn't have anywhere near as many features as other $150-$200 phones. No digital answering system, no flashing LEDs, nothing. The money was spent on the sound hardware and the production (and of course Polycom's profits). So, as the title implies, it all depends on what you want from a phone. It's worked well enough for my purposes that I have bought 3 more units.

High Quality Phone
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this phone given the mixed reviews. Ultimately, I was glad I did. The phone has an excellent build quality and doesn't require batteries. Many speaker phones with caller ID require batteries and those batteries drain very quickly. I have two lines into this phone and they are easily managed with the console buttons. Yes, the display should be angled up since it is a desk phone and you are usally not right on top of it, however, imo, not a deal breaker. Yes, it is true, while you can set ring tones, ring volumes and the dial tone volume, I have not located a way to adjust the keypad volume which can be a bit on the loud side in a quiet environment. Now on to the voice quality over the speaker which so many people have had issue with. Your voice will have that typical Polycom sound, a bit on the high side and it will sound like you are talking from a large room, however, no echo, just kind of like a concert hall EQ if you will. The voice quality is very clear and the two-way duplexing is unmatched. For an analog two line A/C operated full-duplex speakerphone with caller-id, I just don't know what other alternatives are out there other than this Polycom phone. The Panasonic's have lackluster reviews and the "office" phones you would find in a large company are usally digital pbx. Now, I'm no phone expert, however, I see no reason not to reccomend this phone. It is abit on the expensive side and you are likely paying a premium for the Polycom name, but the phone is solidly built and works well.
