My favorite! NOT super sweet.
This takes the top spot over Nature’s Hollow and I’ve tried several brands. But if you like really sweet jams and jelly (I don’t), this might not be for you or you would have to enhance it with your substitute sugar.

Jam should never have the consistency of porridge
This apricot jam was so disappointing that I half expected to have Ashton Kutcher jump out of my pantry to tell me I'd been punked. The jars were sealed well, with no apparent defects in the glass or lid seal. Imagine my surprise, then, when I opened the first one and the contents nearly leapt out at me because of the angle I'd been holding the jar at to break the seal. In my experience, it's implicit when I buy products labelled as fruit jam, that I can hold the container at a 30–40° deviation from level when opening the container without issue, as the contents are solid. As I said in the title, this stuff had the consistency of porridge or perhaps a chowder; it's almost as if they forgot to add Certo (liquid fruit pectin used as a gelling agent) to the production run. I actually worked at a company that made jam back in high school, so I know a thing or two about its manufacture. They were pretty fond of me there, but I suspect it wouldn't have been enough to keep me from getting fired if I had ever let product go out the door like this stuff. I literally had to abandon the knife I had waiting to spread it to retrieve a spoon from the cutlery drawer; it was THAT thin. I'm operating under the belief that this is just what the product is like since it arrived in fine condition with a Sell By date more than a year in the future. Caveat emptor, jam fans. I tried to use it to make some apricot bar treats but the moisture content was too much for the base, so those were a loss, too. Pitiful.

Bland and thin
This is more like a preserve than a jam. The consistency is thin and runny, like it needs more pectin to set it. The fruit flavor is not perkily tart like an apricot, but more like a bland peach. It's adequately sweet, but the flavor is flat.

Diabetics beware
I’m on my fourth jar of this amazing tasting jam. It’s not only delicious but if you’re eating right it will not spike your blood sugar. Unless you try and eat half the jar in one sitting. This apricot jam will never take the place of my Manuka, but it’s always in my fridge. For a diabetic to have jam around that’s tasty is a good thing…
