All you need to get started in STM
My very first encounter with STM chips and this kit is all you need to get started with this platform. I am actually programming STM8 chips with this programmer via SWIM interface. The usb ST Link in the package is the defacto standard programmer to use with STM8 or STM32 and is very widely supported on Windows, OSX and Linux. Have fun. Lots of open source tools available too. You can even use these in the Arduino ide if you want.

Don’t waste your time
Ordered this item only for it to turn up with no solder on some of the IC legs, some of the header holes did not work at all, Returned item

An ST-Link that actually works
The majority cheap of ST-Links do not work. If you see a serial number of one digit, like 1 or F, your ST-Link is not going to work, get it sent back. Once this one was plugged in and the ST programmer software was started a correct 16 digit serial number appeared. Once connected to the DEV board everything worked perfecrly.

Everything works but unfortunate ST-link
The product works great I used it as a backup board for my MEng project with the USB-TTL converter through the cubeIDE and CubeProgrammer. My only complaint is the ST-link being a knockoff and as such STMicroelectronics have updated the CubeIDE to not be compatible through this ST-link. I believe it worked before however STMicro are pushing for purchasing of their own products A part from that the whole gig works as it should through the TTL converter however I would discard the ST-Link unless you are handy with soldering and can reconfigure the ST-Link chip in order to bypass STM's recognition software

Legit STM32
One of the few sellers that supplies genuine stm32 chip on the bluepill board. Bought one for a project (acsi2stm) and it works perfectly. Highly recommended and a cheap price for everything you need.

STM32 Clone but it works so far
Received all parts expected. The chip appears to be a clone as the device ID is 0x2BA01477 rather than 0x1BA01477 for a genuine part. After a bit of tweaking in PlatformIO to get past ID errors, programming a simple blink test in release mode worked using the ST Link clone, as did a debug build with a breakpoint. As the ST Link needs to be close to the device, I used a rhinocables USB extender cable to reach the PC port and that was no problem even though it was several meters long.

Great value package but chip id is "unexpected".
Successfully download program and debugged using Platform IO but the chip has a different Id from expected which required a couple of changes to the software. Had to alter a line in stm32f1x.cfg file to set _CPUTAPID 0x2ba01477 and added upload_flags - =c set CPITAPID 0x2ba01477 to plaformio.ini.
