Drybar High Tops Self-Grip Rollers

So I am new to rollers like this - so I wanted to start with some that I’ve seen people use online. I’m also familiar with the dry bar brand so I thought the quality would be nice. I’ve used foam rollers before, but never anything like this. I was always afraid they were gonna get tangled in my hair- my hair is fine.. I just tried one before I posted this review and they seem like they’re gonna work really good -once I get to get to be a pro at it. But they are beginner user friendly for sure. I’m trying to get my hair looking bouncy for my daughter‘s graduation and hoping these will help me do that! They look like they’ll do the trick and the quality is nice. Highly recommend.

Velcro rollers are good with providing volume, soft, bouncy curls. I have tried so many different brands and finally found THE BEST. These rollers are softer, wider-spaced grip fibers and smoother cores which is what makes them different. These are the only ones that did not pull my hair. The first time i did not loose one single strand of my hair. I have very long, thin hair so I purchased 3 and used them almost of all them. The bigger size, gives you an outstanding volume. I wish I have found them sooner.

The rollers themselves are great! But the transparency about returned products is something I wish Amazon would be more forthcoming about and why I took off a star. I ordered two sets of these rollers. The first set was perfect and brand new. When I pulled the second set out, I noticed the box had been opened. Sure enough, as I was inspecting it, I noticed hairs on the rollers. I washed and sanitized them and they’re fine, but this happens a lot with beauty products I order from Amazon. This was, at the very least, just hair (this time).

These rollers add a lot of volume to my hair and they are very easy to use!

These work well but it needs to come with more rollers and clips to keep them in place. Without the clips it doesn’t work. And I have a lot of hair but it’s short, these still weren’t enough for me. Not a good bang for your buck.

I have long straight, very fine hair. I fear using too much heat since my hair is so fine. I've heard Velcro rollers are the best for volume with no heat, which is what I desperately need. I've tried Velcro rollers and decided right away they were not for me as they pull and rip so much hair when taking them out and they always seem to create more static. UNTIL these Drybar rollers. They roll up perfectly and are lightweight, but I noticed the difference when taking them out. Just like all Velcro rollers, you'll feel some tugging but my hair came out so much easier, no static and no ripping. The large sizes help give so much volume for long straight hair. I purchased one set and then ordered a second set the very next day. I also use these on 2nd and 3rd day hair. I spray some heat protectant on the hair strand before rolling, then use the diffuser on my blow dryer to set. I am so thrilled to finally find Velcro rollers that work on my fine hair.

They work well for their intended purpose, but I can’t believe 6 rollers would be enough for even the finest, thinnest hair. I need 18 to do my entire head and it ended up being way more than I wanted to spend. They also do need clips to stay in place. So between having to buy 3 packs of rollers and clips, I ended up spending close to $50. I think if you are planning to use them the way they show in the pictures, just for root volume, 6 might be enough, but I don’t think it would look good to only roll the crown and leave the rest of your hair straight and flat. I also don’t recommend these for hair that is shorter than collarbone length. The large rollers are going to be too big. It would be much more practical to have a S/M set for shorter hair, and a M-L set for longer hair. Nevertheless I’m giving them 4 stars because they work well and they don’t rip my hair out, so I justified buying more as an investment in protecting my hair from damage.

Use it when drying my thick curly hair to give body and straighten

Fantastic - they don’t damage fine hair, and come in a great variety of sizes. You’ll need 2 packs for a full head of hair, and some clips.

These are my first set of rollers I’ve ever bought so I don’t have much to compare to however they are fantastic quality and do exactly what they’re meant to do. They have amazing hold but don’t tangle your hair. Has just enough resistance for grip and they pull off air easily without making a mess. Really love these!

My girlfriend purchased these and was impressed with their quality, though they could use a clip on each roller to help them stay in place. She is uncertain if she would repurchase them.
