Excellent Bag
We just spent 3 weeks backpacking through Europe, and this bag was awesome. It held everything I needed it to (anything bigger would have been too cumbersome to haul around on trains, through airports, etc.). It was sturdy and durable. The backpack straps were essential because for long walks of several miles I would put the bag on my back and my laptop backpack on the front of my body. This allowed me to distribute the weight evenly and have both arms free. It never got rained on, so I didn't test out the waterproof qualities, but I sprayed it down when I got back, and it repelled the water. This is now my #1 travel bag due to its size, ability to be carried as a backpack or duffel bag, and its waterproof build. One thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't have external pockets (due to the need for it to be sealed up to repel water) and not much in that regard inside. But I used compression bags to sort my stuff anyway, so that wasn't an issue for me. If it can take a 3-week trip through three countries in Europe, I'm confident it will take just about anything else I'll throw at it.

Great, sturdy product. can be carried on your back or by the side straps. has some water resistance from light rain but havn't tested it in heavy storms yet. love that the zip is good quality and my child can pack up and handle it all by himself. very durable an strong stitching. What more can you ask for

Great durable duffel for the price
I purchase 5 of these duffels for a family week long sailing trip (3 x 30 liter bags & 2 x 51 liter bags). I have previously owned similar bags from north face, and although the Element bags don’t have all the same features the are very comparable in construction and material. All 5 of my bags are the Olive/Green color, which in reality is more teal gray and aqua. All 5 bags were loaded to capacity with clothes, sleeping bags and gear. The 51 liter bags easily held 45 lbs of gear and with all the handles was easy to carry. The shoulder straps are decent for short hauls, they don’t offer much padding but beat lugging a heavy bag around by the handles. I checked all 5 bags in at the airport, and all 5 made it to my destination with no bag failure, but they did show lots of scuff marks from baggage handling. If I were to buy these bags again I’d buy the black color, as this might hide the scuffs and dirt better. I tried cleaning the outside by hand with soap and water and a sponge, but the scuffs and marks didn’t come off. The bags are not waterproof (they aren’t dry bags) but I’d say water resistant, as only the seams and zipper would leak. In light rain they kept my clothes and gear dry. The bags are made of a sturdy material, it looks to be pvc coated nylon. The bottom panel is only coated on the inside, we’re all the other panels are coated inside and outside. The 4 webbing handles are secure and made handling easy, the 2 shoulder straps can easily be removed and stowed inside the bag for checking on an airplane. I expect them to last a long time based on how they performed on this first trip. My only complaint is that the light colored bags showed the scuffs, marks and dirt of rough airline baggage handling.

Love this bag
I already had the Large and medium. The small feels pretty big. Nests nicely inside the medium and large when not in use. I love that I can carry it like a duffel or a backpack. I can use it when snowing or raining. I have used the small and medium as carry on bags.

Sturdy. Attractive and Functional
This bag has now been on 6 trips with me. Cross country road trip, several flights and a trip to the beach. On the beach trip there was of course a lot of sand. But this shook it off, no problem. I was afraid for the zipper, but, either none got in there, or it just wasn't a problem. Not sure. I have not rain tested it or left in the rain or gotten in wet, but the feel, tells me it would hold up pretty good. My only problem is that the interior is dark! Really dark, its kind of hard to see what you have in there. I tend to wear a lot of black and blue clothing so that doesn't help. But if you don't mind shining a light in there to see what you're doing, then go for it. Great bag. I love it.

Great Quality with Great Zippers
These were used for a recent trip to Colorado, they rode in the back of the pickup and held up great....they do have a different material on the bottom of the bag so they were placed on top of some other gear because I was not sure how the bottom would handle water....the bags did great.

Not as waterproof as I'd like.
I live in the pacific northwest, and go camping about once a month, so I went for a duffel bag that would strap onto my motorcycle for things. The last three trips, I've had it rain when advertised as being sunny and dry on the weather reports, each camping trip with a new tent that doesn't let me put it inside. (Admittedly, there was a mostly full frying pan of water, so It could be it just punched through the water resistance? Or the zipper?)The first time, I had it upside up, and water leaked through the zipper. The second time, I flipped it over, but water still was on the inside. The third time, I had it flipped upside down and there was only a bit of wet clothing inside. But there was still wet clothing inside. The rest of the bag does seem to be waterproof, yes, but the fact that even upside down, there's still water getting inside through the zipper? Might need some checks on verifying the zipper doesn't let water leak through, or a better method of keeping water out.It could've gotten my tablet or my phone wet, if I hadn't stored them separately, each and every time.

Excelente duffel bag

Well made
This gym bag is very well made. It’s constructed well. I like that it comes in a variety of colours. It has a lot of storage. It easily fits my gym clothes and workout shoes well. My big complaint is the zippers. They are very hard to close. You have to be sure the zipper runs are close together. Otherwise it doesn’t work. It’s very hard to pull. So hard in fact that I wouldn’t buy another one.
