So I bought this book hoping I could get familiar with skincare. I learned that not only should you not use an exfoliating wash, you should use an exfoliating acid after you wash! I had no idea! I’m only half way through the book, but even only half way through it’s worth every penny!

Honest, relatable, no hidden agenda and science based /backed product recommendations for all price points! I found Caroline on Instagram, and her blog/website, two years ago and she is simply the best as the song goes.

I read this beautiful book in a few days, it is a highly rewarding read. The only con that I have is the author's opinion on "clean beauty" which seems naive at best, since the concept is only being discussed under the aspect of "is it clean for me?". The bigger question here ist: "is it clean for the environment or will it pollute our water?". I would have loved to find a few deeper thoughts on the yet unregulated soft microplastics, i.e. what happens to the Silicones and Carbomers etc. once they reach the wastewater.Apart from that, again, it is an outstanding book.
