Snyder's Of Hanover Mini Pretzels, Organic, 8 Ounce

Love these pretzels and so happy they finally made in organic. Cannot find in stores. No longer available online. Hope will continue to produce.

My husband and I are not really pretzel fans. We will eat them but they’re not really our “go-to” snacks. Still, these sounded intriguing so I thought I’d try them. I am very glad I did. They’re delicious. Not too salty (they almost taste home-made) and without that funky after-taste some pretzels leave in my mouth.The ingredients are typical: flour, water, malt, salt, canola oil, sugar, yeast, and soda. The big difference of course is that they are all organic and non-GMO. For me that’s a definite plus. Through in the no cholesterol and no-fat and you have a winner as far as I am concerned. So a healthy snack.But what really makes this a great snack (in my opinion) is the taste. These pretzels are delicious. They are not too salty and they taste—wholesome is perhaps the best word to describe it. They have texture and they have a definite taste (they’re not the least bit bland). And my husband and I just wolfed them down. Before we knew it, the whole bag was gone.They’re that good.So I recommend them. They’re really delicious and they’re definitely way healthier than the stuff you normally get. We’re not pretzel eaters but I plan to buy more.

I'm a big fan of the snyder's pretzels, so why not try the organic? I can tell you there is a slight difference in taste between the regular & organic. My girlfriend & I tried both repeatedly, side by side. The overall consensus is that there's a slight aftertaste in the organic that I don't notice in the regular. Now, this doesn't mean I'm bothered by this aftertaste, just that it's there. It was hard to place exactly where it was coming from, but it seems that it's the yeast or possibly the flour. To me, the taste is more like the after taste of homemade pretzels or some cases fresh bread / bagels. So my guess is that something in the other pretzels normally masks the wholesome flavors that come through in natural bread / pretzel making. That being said, these pretzels are delicious & recommended for those that are looking for less artificial ingredients in their diets. For the hardcore Snyder's fan, these are only a subtle change to the expected flavor you already love. All & all, I'd buy these again for sure.

If you want to eat more organic foods, these organic mini-pretzels are a great snack. They taste deliciously salty and crunchy. What else to love about them:* lowfat - actually no-fat at 0%* even better no sugar at less than 1g - you should have no more than 50g of added sugar a day says the WHO* zero cholesterol* about 5 calories per mini-pretzel or 110 calories for 20 - so good for diet* organic wheat flour, organic malt, organic canola oil, and organic yeast* made with non-GMO ingredientsThe ONLY drawback to these I see is one serving is 13% of your sodium, but that's 20 pretzels. I think I could be happy with 10 pretzels a day - or 50 calories and only 6.5% of your sodium. Will research to see if they make a low-sodium, organic mini-pretzel. That might be popular. If you don't eat a lot of processed foods, and don't use much salt, it's probably not an issue for you.These are a non-guilty, delicious snack!

Brand x versus Snyder's Of Hanover Organic Mini Pretzels. I have placed equal bowls side by side on my desk for today's review and I will eat the pretzels one for one, noting the differences, to see which one reigns over the other.Brand x heart shaped pretzels are slightly larger. Slightly saltier. Prices between bags are comparable. Brand x calories from fat, a burgeoning 10 next to Snyders calories from Fat which is only a 0. Brand x is vegan. Snyders is non-GMO. Brand x is hitting its stride at a 100 years old. Snyders passed that landmark. Brand x is... all of the pretzels that I have left in the bowl! Somehow during this test I have inadvertently eaten every single Mini Pretzel made by Snyders of Hanover! All I have left is Brand x! It occurs to me that I was not given enough Snyders of Hanover organic mini twists to do my testing properly. Clearly, I cannot continue until the Vine program sends me more. A case or two should be sufficient.

Do you like pretzels? I can honestly say that my palate is not trained well-enough to tell the difference between GMO and non-GMO grains - it is, however, sensitive enough to tell the difference between a quality-made snack and something... less than. These Snyder's Organic Mini Pretzels have what I can best describe as a "clean" flavor - no weird aftertaste or strange twangs. They're not rough, and go down easy... especially when accompanied by a favorite beverage. If you are a fan of pretzels, and you prefer to eat organic grains, you will very likely enjoy these pretzels very much. I personally think they are the best tasting mini pretzels I've ever eaten, including the regular mini pretzels by this same company.The ingredients are standard for pretzels, but all organic: Organic wheat flour, water, organic malt, salt, organic canola oil, organic sugar, organic yeast, soda.I notice that these pretzels are not yet available here on Amazon, and don't seem to yet be sold anywhere on the Internet. I couldn't even find a mention of them on the Snyder's website. Fortunately Amazon has a button you can click on the product page for notification of when this product is available because I'd definitely like to buy some more.
