Why add sucralose? Ingredients state that is within the list of "less than 2% of" - the bar is sweet enough, so, why add it?

We choose to use Sucralose as it is over 600 times sweeter than sugar, and because of its nominal effects on insulin, it has been approved by the American Diabetes Association for all three types of diabetics. It adds sweetness to foods and beverages without adding calories or carbohydrates, and unlike sugar, the body does not break down Sucralose into calories for energy. Yet, both sugar and Sucralose activate the same taste buds on your tongue. Also, we found that it works best to help us achieve the goal flavor profile for the products in which we use it, and studies have repeatedly shown no adverse effects. While we stand behind all the ingredients used in our products, we understand that our customers have different individual preferences, which is why we've created some products that are sweetened with Stevia and Erythritol.
