SAFE TECH 10 Years Battery Wireless Interlinked Smoke Heat Alarms for Home -AJ718,AJ763(4 Pack)

Installed last week by an electrician, but even though these were bought as a set… they don’t seem to be able to all connect to each other. I am awaiting a reply from seller, but at the moment, cannot get any more than 3 to connect, in any variation of heat/smokes. Hopefully seller can provide some clarification.

Everything about the set of alarms points to them being compliant with the current Scottish regulations. If you have gas appliances, you'll need CO detectors but they don't need to be interlinked. The alarms are easy to coordinate, with detailed instructions from the supplier. If you need to reset them, there are instructions on the manufacturer's leaflets inside each alarm's box. Nothing complicated.

Needed these alarms to be Scottish regulations compliant and didn’t want to use a mains hard wired solution so these units were just what I needed. 10 year sealed battery units available in a handy pack of of 4 (3 x smoke detectors and 1x heat detector).Simple to install and very happy with the cost. Safe-Tech went out of their way to deliver ahead of initial indicated date.

The positives are they come in a kit to satisfy the new Scottish housing regulations on fire prevention. They were fairly easy to fit as I use 3M adhesive magnetic alarm mounts. They are fairly easy to power up, and they don't need installation by an electrician or wired into the mains power.Now the negatives. It took me 3 days of working at them, off and on, to get them to recognise each other and to sync up. I found the instructions to be a bit vague and unclear on the process. There is a video online on the sellers website that shows the process, but even at that the alarms didn't sync as shown.I was trying to sync them all to the heat detector, but they just wouldn't recognise the heat detector as the "master" device. In the end I had to just choose a random smoke detector to be the "master" and they seemed to all sync as advertised after that. Even the heat detector synced no problem the other way to the chosen smoke detector "master" device.I recommend working with them, syncing and testing them, all on a table in front of you, BEFORE sticking them to your ceilings. That way if you have any problems you can start again and keep trying without having to run all over your house. Once synced and testing and working, you can then install them where you want them sited.I tested the smoke alarms with a bit of smoking newspaper. They seem to work as you might expect, and they seem to set off all the others as advertised. I have no way to tell how long the batteries will last and no way to tell if the heat detector will activate.

Had to get these to comply with new Scottish Government regulations and these were a great price. Easy to interlink and install and certainly would wake you if there was a fire.

Ordered a set of 3 smoke and a heat detector which arrived sooner than stated. Tried to follow the instructions that come with the detectors but they are quite confusing due to the wording used. Decided to email customer service through Amazon. Got a reply within a few days with a phone number. Called them and they answered within a few minutes and within a further 2 minutes, they had talked me through resetting and linking all of the detectors. The process is very simple really. Just count the flashes on the green light for setting the main detector and linking further detectors.

Easy to set up from the instructions added in the box seperate from the instructions that come in each individual box !!! Use the instructions that are added as an extra in the main box !!! They are far easier to use to connect each alarm !!!

Nicely made, and the units are unobtrusive, but the instructions weren't all that clear. I had to find a tube video to find out how to link the various units with each other, and once I'd found that, everything worked flawlessly.
