Not sure where it was made. It’s solid wood, heavy and works well. I’ve had guests who use it ask me where I bought it because it’s better than the one they had. I’d recommend it, wherever it was made.

Q: What are the actual dimensions of the 54mm? From bottom of tamper to top of handle? Diameter of handle?

The mm size for the tamper is referring to the width of steel base. Measure the inside of your coffee filter to see if tamper would fit inside. The one I bought was 51mm, which is 2 inches. The tamper should just barely fit inside filter to properly press all the coffee grounds.

I believe it's a m8. The major diameter of the handle is .30, I tried using a 5/16 bolt. Didn't quite match. I don't have a m8 bolt. I hope that helps.
