Epic Collection Star Wars Legends The Clone Wars 1 Paperback – January 1, 2017

This book was eye opening to the levels of manipulation and deception the Sith planned and devised. Realizing the depth of the confusion the sith laid in the hearts and minds of the Jedi through the defense of the republic with the clone wars and how it brought about their downfall alongside Vaders and Palpatines rise of tye empire.

I don't think people appreciated just HOW GOOD Dark Horse comics were with their handling of the Star Wars franchise until they were gone. I knew it, but now I see how painfully obvious it is. Dark Horse writers were SW fans, not Disney puppets pushing agendas like Marvel are. These graphic novels are reminders of just how great the Clone Wars stories are from Dark Horse. Honestly, there was very little I disliked from Dark Horse during this time period.

Longtime Star Wars fan. Great writing. Solid artwork. Keeps you hooked. The pace of the story and the action pulls you in at every turn.

I loved the clone wars cartoon growing up and this makes me feel the same way. Can't wait to read more.

I remembered loving these issues when I first read them years ago, and I loved reading them again in this collection. The artwork is great throughout this collection, especially the many issues by Jan Duursema. This collection starts off strong with the Battle of Kamino, which is special to me because it is the first appearance of ARC Troopers. I'm a big fan of Clone Troopers and I've always loved the look of the ARC Trooper armor. I loved the way the stories feature so many different characters, with the Republic issues focusing on Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura, Anakin, and Obi-Wan. There are also a series of Jedi one-shots that focus on many other Jedi. The Mace Windu issue is amazing, showing a group of Jedi that defected from the Order and raising a lot of great questions about the Jedi serving as Generals. The only issue I was disappointed with was the Yoda issue, which had a bland story and very different artwork from the rest of the collection.

The first volume of Marvel's Epic Collection releasing the stories by Dark Horse set in the Clone Wars Era. Really great collection of stories, we see tales of Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura, Sharrk Ti among others like Mace Windu and of course Obi-wan and Anakin.If you are a Star Wars fan, these Epic Collections are for you. Close to 500 pages and for the price, they are great value!
