I loved the cowhide that I received!! It was gorgeous! There were a couple small nicks in the fur, which is to be expected from a cow from this size who's likely had a few spurs with other cattle. Just like we often have a small scar here or there. It adds to the authenticity and beauty of the rug. Cowhides aren't soft, as there's just hide and short fur, I guess I had it set in my head that we'd lay on it like a plush rug. It's not a soft but the fur is smooth and luxurious. It makes a beautiful accent to our living room. We still lay on it and enjoy all the beautiful patterns of the brindle. I'm really happy. We've had a lot of compliments on it. I did a lot of research before I bought a hide and settled on this one. The price was good and I couldn't be happier with it. There was a slight smell that dissipated over 48 hours. I don't smell it anymore. I've asked family visitors if they do and they say no.

You never really know what you’re going to get with cowhide rugs but this one fit perfectly in my living room. The color was exactly as displayed online. Size is also perfect. It does lift a little on the edges but with some carpet double sided tape, I don’t have any problems. Although the double sided tape isn’t recommended for wood floors, as it may cause damage. I’ll just be extra careful when I need to remove it. Otherwise, love my rug!

I conducted a lot of research before purchasing this rug to see how it would fit or suit my chic/eccentric decor. I had lots of compliments from friends already but the jury is still out in my mind. It will grow on me sooner or later. This is my first cowhide rug/throw accent rug that I’ve purchased and it looks great thus far, I think. The only con was that it arrived over a week later than estimated and the smell took a couple of days to dissipate but that’s how you know it’s “real” cowhide.

This is a beautiful rug. I will say that I ordered the "Brindle Cowhide Rug" and there is literally zero brindle on this rug. I gave it a 4 star due to this but it is still a beautiful rug and a great price. In reviews I've read they mentioned an odor. There is a slight odor when unpacked but it doesn't last long at all. I would definitely order again.

The hide is beautiful. It looks great on my wood floor. I would order another one if I could pick out the lightness or darkness because I don’t want to get one that looks just like the one I received. There was no smell. My only complaint is the creases. I have had for almost a month and they are still very prominent. Other than that great purchase.

I had my doubts when ordering this rug but I’m in complete awe how beautiful it is in colour and size. I read previous reviews that mentioned how it had an odour to it. I can say mine does not. Each time I look at it I find a new beauty about it. I totally recommend this purchase. It added so much character to my room. Great quality for the price paid. Also it arrived a week earlier than scheduled. Hope this review helps in deciding.
