Dog Waste Disposal Pail with Push-N-Lock Clamp, Gray

Great -- I would recommend....

We bought this for use outside when we clean up our backyard. That is not what this should be used for. This would be great if you’re potty training a puppy and have puppy pads or if you have a dog that uses disposable diapers. The intended use is so you don’t have to take your trash out every day to avoid odors in the house. It cannot be used outside as a “poo pail”. The item also came damaged so we had to return it anyways.

Very similar to diaper genie. I have a 13 lb shih tzu and change the bag once a week.

If I could give this product no stars if I could. First, the product is very cheaply made. Second, the design is terrible. You have to stick your hand on the dog poop bag to squeeze it into the hole. Finally, it is impossible to change the bag. I couldn’t get the thing put back together when I changed the 1st bag. I chucked it and the bag of poop in the bin!

We have 3 dogs, and every summer we have a gross maggot problem in our trashcan. So far this thing is amazing. I leave it outside & scoop the poops directly into it. I did not want a containment system that required the turds to be bagged....if I was gonna do that I'd just toss bags in the can. But if I make suture to close it with the handle up, no bugs get in & no maggots. Yay! The bags are easy to change if you read the directions (and here's a hint, to prevent having to tie the bag of shit closed, I save the clips that come on loaves of bread & just use that to close it. Less handling = better). When you're tying the new bag it's clean, so it's not an issue. It doesn't stink, and I change the bag out every 2 weeks since our puppies are still small & still crapping in the house pretty often. Don't be jealous! But our shitbox (as my husband nicknamed it) sits on the back porch and I have never smelled it when it us closed.

Well, it’s a great idea. I just drop the waste pickup bags in and empty it for trash day. I like that the liner pulls out to a size I choose. That being said, it’s pretty flimsily built and I don’t expect it to hold up to extended use. So, I’ll use it until it breaks (which I’m sure it will eventually) and decide then if it’s worth the price to replace.

This particular Pet Genie is for dogs. I think the person that left the negative review was talking about the Genie for cats. This item does not come with a scoop and you don't leave the top open. I absolutely love this item. It definitely keeps the odors out of the room and you fill it up with at least 10 or more large pads before you have to dispose of it. Beats buying the small disposable bags and frequent runs to the garbage can. Once full, it has a built in razor that you cut the bag, then knot, and dispose. The only improvement i think they should make is that you shouldn't have to push your hands into the pale in order to get the pad in. It's uncomfortable every time my kids have to do it, and they sometimes let it sit on top until I get around to push it down. They need to figure out something better. But otherwise I love this product!
