Multiple Uses
This is a great multi purpose tool. Chopping, splitting, shaping, digging and probably more. Sharp solid and sturdy from a name I trust.

Awesome tool! Now I need a rake!
Sweet Pulaski, use it for brush fires all the time, also works great for HAZMAT calls to build dikes and dams and trenches! Love to make everyone jealous in the dept when my dad, best friend, brother and I show up with our own Pulaski and actually know how to use them and dig a line. This is the 4th one I have bought.

Made of steel and wood.
Nice to find an axe of any sort with a good wooden handle. Very nice on a Pulaski, as it’s lighter to carry, more forgiving on your hands when digging, and less prone to melt in a fire.

Busted handle
Bought this tool some time ago. Just now got it off my tool rack to get a dead stump out. Took a few swings into the dead wood. The bit got stuck. In the process of getting it out, crack! Handle split right below the head and down the handle more than a foot. I wasn't abusing the tool by any means. It should be able to take some abuse since it is an impact tool. Glad it didn't break on a down stroke. Now I have to replace the handle. Buy this kind of stuff local so you can take it back when it is defective.

A versatile tool
I have missed having a Pulaski tool around for years and now I have one again. It grubs up tough roots, chops woody shrubs and trees, takes an edge with ease. Used on the fireline to cut fire breaks and dig up burning roots, it also has many uses in home gardening and landscaping.

Not thrilled with purchase.
While I am by no means an axe aficionado, I am less than impressed with the quality of this axe head. From outward appearances, the head looks as though the mold for it was crafted quickly and roughly. The curves in the more intricate areas are less than symmetrical. This leads me to believe that with extended use this may cause uneven wear and/or stress and reduce the life of the head.I am also rather surprised at how dull the axe is. The main edge follows the quality of the intricate areas. It is not uniform and the angle of the sharp edge appears to vary.Admittedly, I have not yet had the chance to put the axe to work. If and when I decide to use this axe, I may update the review to reflect a more complete analysis. This is of course, as mentioned, a review of appearances from one who is not well versed in axe terminology or quality. I suppose this is what one gets from seeking an inexpensive large handle axe.

But wonderful product.
Was exactly as stated. However, one one of the 2 axes I ordered there was not a blade shield on and I cut my finger when opening the package. Be careful when opening! But wonderful product.
