These are great, I've had one running non stop for 3 years without issues, it has a memory so you don't need to worry about setting the temp again.No glass to break is also a huge safety factor.The temperature probe keeps the temps stable and true, I keep the probe in the sump just in case the tank flow has stopped.Very vital piece to your livestock's health, a bad heater could easily wipe out your whole tank.

I use this for the display of my 120 gallon saltwater reef. 🪸 make sure you get double the size if you have high flow.

Fits great in my AIO saltwater tank back panel it is small and compact, quite accurate as well and thats very important for my salt tank out performed a fluval sea heater that was inaccurate if anything changed I'll be back to change my review but for now perfect size, not too long and accurate so it's 5 stars

I keep MANY freshwater fish tanks and several heaters in the past have caused exploding, glass break and stray electrical issues. So far for two months his hasent had those issues. My fish are happy, healthy and dont have to worry about stray glass or free flowing currents when i do major water changes!

I purchased the heater, Aquatop 500 Titanium, 09/2022 as a back up and to have on hand. it remained in its packaging until I set it up in my 120 gallon 06/2023. Set it for 80 degrees, was working fine until yesterday. The tank is well established and has been set up for 3+ years. The tank is set up in my office so I see the tank throughout the day. In the morning (9am +/-) all was fine. I had 8 palm sized discuss, 12 emperor tetras, 20 neons, and 5 cory cats. By 11am I noticed they were swimming strangely and gasping. By 11:30 cory cats were dead soon followed by tetras, Checked the temp and it was just under 120 degrees. I immediately began doing water changes to reduce the water temperature. I changed approximately 60 gallons. Got temperature down to 80 but had lost 5 discuss and ALL fish except three discuss. Major loss. Be careful with this one...

Best titanium heater at a great price

Off by a few degrees. I set the temp to 80⁰ but I have an external thermometer probe and it never goes above 77.7⁰ which is not so bad, because I really only want the actual temp about 78⁰ anyway.UPDATE: Purchases in November, now 5 months later, it's going wonky. Set to 80 in Nov, never changed it. Yesterday my water was 86⁰! I'm LUCKY my livestock (especially expensive fish, my starfish, shrimp and anemones) are still alive. Luckily I caught it in time. Make sure you use an EXTERNAL thermometer. Don't trust the built-in.

My favorite feature is definitely the fact that you cannot adjust the heat without putting your hands in the water. The digital readout makes it super easy and the thermostat is accurate. I'm using these in my ciclid tanks so that they cannot break them like they do the glass ones. They are also amazing in turtle tanks because turtles are definitely too rough for glass heaters.
