Is this a large purse??

It's 11 inches from one side to the other, 7 1/2 inches from top to bottom and it's bottom base width is 5 inches. The handles are 5 1/2 inches high. I don't know what you consider a large purse but I would say it is not but it is sturdy and can hold more than a 3 inch wide purse due to its generous bottom. The sides taper up making it not thick or wide at the top zipper. The included adjustable shoulder strap makes it so it can be worn as a long crossbody purse or a shorter shoulder purse.

How close is the yellow one to the picture, is it a neon yellow or a soft baby chick yellow?

Well i purchased the mustard color satchel,so i can't really answer that question i know mine is a really pretty mustard color and i am sure the yellow is very pretty too, these satchels these satchels are just as nice as the name brand purses so whatever color you chose i am sure you won't be disappointed!!!
