How much weight can it carry? and how big is it folded?

I am not sure how much weight it can carry but it is a very sturdy bag and can hold a lot. I haven't folded it but it is fairly thin so can probably be folded to the size of a quart sized baggie?

Does this bag have zipper closure?

Yes, it has two zippers for the top opening. Note that the tote version of this bag only has one zipper (no way to lock if you check in your bag).

Is this a good bag for the beach?

It's not a bag I would usually use at the beach -- I tend to like things with a looser weave to more easily remove sand. However, it's a great bag and it could certainly be used for that purpose.
