Looks fantastic, at a good price, doesn't rattle around if you use rubber washers not included with tow hook, great weight and built very sturdy, fits perfectly

but seriously, this thing is beefy and beautiful. not ridiculous like an anodized monster hook, but seriously solid functional goodness. matches all the other shackles I have. get the anti theft one and forget about your worries. Don’t skimp out on good recovery gear. Get this.

It’s a really well made, heavy duty shackle. The locking pin it comes with is really nice as well. It does have a locking bolt piece for the shackle. Only down side is it’s not the exact item pictured. It only has two different positions instead of the multiple like it shows. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

After waiting several months to come back in stock, I was very disappointed. The lock has a nice rubber hood to keep the key hole free of debris and washers to keep it from banging around. Only problem is the lock is too short! I drive a Tacoma with a 2” hitch, so it should certainly be long enough. NOPE! Terrible design flaw. There should also be plastic/ rubber washers to keep the shackle from swinging all over the place. NOPE! Paint also scratched off before I even finished putting it in the receiver. This set up was much more expensive than the others, and it was definitely not worth the extra money!!!

Got this for my 2021 Ram 2500 with the 2.5 inch receiver. Fit perfectly and has a good selection of holes so you can set it as close to the bumper as you want. The keyed pin lock that comes with it is very good quality. The shackle and draw bar are both rated for 40,000 pounds and given the truck weighs 9500 that is a very good thing. Also, the shackle has a theft proof tie bolt.Well made, well finished quality product. A little more money than some others I looked at but worth it in my books. Recovery gear is not someplace I want to cut corners.

This item I received is in no way like the photo.It is a 2.5 inch hitch, but does not have the extra length and holes to make it as adjustable as it is featured in the displayed photos. Good quality, but not happy with the misrepresentation. I will not be purchasing anything more from Gear America.
