I had an old 16" wheeled folding bike used for short trips in campgrounds and large event venues. Handy, but slow and tiresome to pedal. This conversion kit has made the bike much more useful and fun. The wheel and hub was pre assembled. I had the local bike shop swap the existing tire onto the new hub and had to do two modifications to the front forks. The forks needed to be spread to accommodate the wider hub, and the axle mounting slots needed to be enlarged from 8mm to 10mm to accommodate the hub's axle diameter. The rest of the install was "plug and play", standard installation of new brake levers and mounting of controls on the handle bars, etc.. I use lipo 6s/6000ma batteries in my radio controlled planes and two of these in series provide plenty of juice. I might be able to figure out a more streamlined installation for the battery and excess cabling, but the bike has good power and speed. Range appears to be good too, but I haven't pushed it to it's limits yet. Delivery took a while, but I would recommend the product for it's price and performance.

I love the kit. I really do. I was able to upgrade mine and my wife's Sun Trikes and the performance it great. Pedal assist and throttle are very responsive and the controls easy to use. My only problem with this kit is the instructions. Nice glossy instructions with pics but they include other kits and parts which make it confusing. Thankfully the parts are pretty straight forward to assemble and, like most men, instructions are optional.

Several emails sent to seller, without action. Over and over, sporadic reply seen asking for more photos. I troubleshot, and relayed result that the controller from my other E bike , connected to the received 16” front e bike wheel, functioned correctly.Regardless, the seller acted disappointingly reluctant. Eventually I complained to Amazon customer support, and got the refund . I ordered a replacement controller from EBay, installed and made my folding bike converted to E bike. BN

Used this on a Sun recumbent bike.instructions n.g. product very good.make sure you order right battery.I ordered a 48 volt battery.THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO INSTALL THE PAS SENSOR ON THE SPROKET SIDE OF BIKE,BUT I INSTALLED ON THE LEFT SIDE WORKS FINE.Be sure arrow points in right direction on magnetic disc.you need to purchase a crank puller for 8 or nine dollars.The controller has anderson connectors I had to buy a set of adapters for the battery connectors. Six bucks. The bike is a joy to ride.Works great have it a month.like it better than my Lectric Bike.i bought the 16 in. wheel kit
