Very delicious
Literally the best candy. I love mastiha, and I ate it all the time in Greece as a kid. Also Mastiha Ypovriheio is very very good.

pungent taste
The lozenges are sugar free candy with mastiha oil added, which gives them very strong taste. They look like the usual hard candy. I think I like the taste, however unusual it turned out to be. You get a box of blister packs of the candy. They are easy to remove from the packaging

Unusual flavor for a US palate, but worth trying!
I am in agreement with the few other reviews for these Greek lozenges. I had to look up what chia mastiha oil is, and I'm not going to pretend to be an expert and explain it here! The material I came across was enough to convince me to try it, especially with regard to the digestive-aiding properties. As far as how it works in practice, if there is an effect it is subtle. And yes, the taste initially hits you with a piney, cedary, tree sap kind of taste, which fades away after less than 30 seconds and you're left with more of a honeyed sweetness for the rest of the lozenge.Currently priced at $15 for 12 blister packs containing 5 lozenges each (so, 25 cents a lozenge), I'm not sure you'd want to get this if the flavor descriptions here are off-putting (I would want to sample one pack first, probably), but it's reasonably-priced enough where it's worth it. And maybe instead you can stuff 12 stockings with them... Santa likes Mediterranean treats, right?Almost the entire packaging is in what I'm assuming is Greek, but there are a couple of bits of info in English, like "Excessive consumption may cause laxative effects".... and that there is sucralose as one of the sweeteners.

Multi-pack lozenges with an interesting mastiha flavor
These lozenges are pretty interesting and unique. It is the first time I tried them and I like them a lot. The chios mastiha flavor is pretty distinct, sort of earthy and piney with a mild hint of bitterness initially. They are sugar-free but instead lightly sweetened with acesulfame K an sucralose. These come as a 12-pack in a long box, with each containing 5 lozenges in a blister pack enclosed within a retail paper sleeve packaging. Mine has a best before date of nearly 2 years from now. Made in Switzerland. Overall, I like these lozenges. They have an interesting flavor but may not be for everyone.

A rare and exotic Greecian treat
As our “kids” have gotten older, we have a family hobby of trying confections that may seem exotic to many American palettes. This one with Chios Mastiha Oil is rare unless you happen to live on the beautiful Greecian isles of Koini, Vaviloi, Pagida or Chios! The legendary flavor comes from gum mastic, a natural tree resin that supports the local economies in parts of Greece, Turkey and Israel. How does it taste? The first taste sensation is a cross between piney and licorice yet don’t let that turn you off. The next overtones are honey and herbal. Sweetly subtle. Some believe Chios Mastiha can even alieve high blood pressure and bronchitis.

Tasty
There's not much on this product page about what these lozenges actually are. Mastiha (or mastika) is made from a resin ("tears of Chios") that has a kind of cedar or pine flavor. It's used in a number of products in Greece, including Chios Mastiha Ouzo. Mastiha Liqueur, and even Turkish delight. The liqueur is considered an after-meal digestive. Mastiha (from mastic trees on the Greek island of Chios) is used in various ways to aid digestion by folks in several Mediterranean countries. The flavor of these lozenges does indeed have a pine flavor that is mild and pleasant. Regardless of what it might or might not do herbally, it tastes good and leaves a clean feeling in my mouth. If it help my digestion, it's a bonus. It also feels soothing to my throat.

Delicious lozenges
I am not familiar with Mastiha oil but I got these to help alleviate my dry mouth and dry throat. They are really delicious lozenges that have a hint of earthy flavor but are mostly sweet, but not artificially sweet, kind of like honey. I absolutely love the flavor and pop them in my mouth whenever I need an oral fixation or to help moisten my throat or mouth. Great find!

Unique flavor, worth trying
I am actually not big fan of the flavor. These lozenges do not taste super sweet, and they do make my throat comfortable. The flavor does not taste like most lozenges on the market. It is more natural, like ginger mixed with herbs. One box comes with 12 small packs, good pocket sizing, very convenient.
