Godinger Dublin Salt & Pepper Shakers

These salt and pepper shakers look a lot more elegant than I expected, good enough that I think they'd almost work with my fine china if I needed to use it. I'm taking off one star for the plastic stopper which is visible at the bottom, as it extends to the edge of the shaker. If the hole took up less of the bottom of the shaker, the stopper could have been inside the foot completely, for a nearly perfect look.They're also pretty thick; at this point, months after I purchased, I can't remember if they're plain glass, some kind of specialized glass with some kind of additive, or crystal, but they're durable and they work.

Got these for my Mom, and she really likes them. Pretty and delicate-looking but decently heavy and not fragile.

Thin plastic on bottom of shakers are removable to fill salt and pepper & supposed to hold the salt and pepper in the shakers once filled. They fall out easily, even with nothing in the shakers. Very cheaply made.If there were a rating below one star, Iwould give it. Amazon should not sell defective products like this one.

The product is really nice, labeled DUBLIN (implying Ireland,) called Shannon- an Irish crystal product, and inserts states Bohemian crystal process…BUT ACTUALLY MADE IN CHINA!!
