This has helped with the low number of sockets in the unit. The addition of the USB-C and USB ports has created a charging hotspot. Great purchase

I bought this unit to expand my existing double wall socket and to plug in some USBs . It feels solid in construction and is reasonably slim and compact and doesn’t block the adjacent socket * * it doesn’t block a well designed modern socket with well spaced inlets and it is also better suited to those where the inlets are located lower down on the wall plate - as in the photo showing the unit in situ. It will not however suit the wall plate example of an older design as shown in the other photo. You can of course upgrade the ‘wrong’ double socket which is what I shall be doing. In its present location adjacent to a TV in the kitchen the permanently lit blue neon is unfortunately (at the moment ) and being in direct line of sight a bit of a distraction , so it is something to consider. The main concern with these type of adapters is overloading the unit . Basically you can plug one big item ie fridge, washing machine and one small item ie radio, smart speaker etc. when it comes to the USBs only plug in phones ,mp3s and the like and NOT curling tongs or other heavy demand items. The instruction ‘manual’ that comes with the unit gives detailed information in this regard.

Works as intended, the usb c slot was added convenience to charge my phone without having to use up a plug slot
