Ready America Backpack

Absolutely amazing ! This has got everything you would want without being overly complicated. What amazes me was the price. I got the package deal which was for four people. So each backpack has enough for two people . Even the way I only needed it for two of us, I like the fact that I could use one for one emergency and still have another. Now if your family before then this is perfect. This is my first time to buy an emergency bug out bag ( bug out bag is a term that Navy Seals use to refer to a bag of supplies, food, water, tools, et al, to be used for extreme emergencies. Called bug out because it's something you grab when you've got no sweet time to pack and make decisions when time is of the essence. That's why they call it a bug out bag- so let's bug out outta in an emergency lol. So no there are no bugs). What attracted me to get this product was the fact that this is from a my family owned business and as far as I'm concerned that's the best business to buy from. They take pride in the quality they give to customers and the customer service is far better than businesses who are not family businesses. Family business is my favorite type of business. Listen, I'm here in South Florida, and we've got hurricanes and floods and you name it. But what scared me to get better prepared is because now we've got flooding that can happen in just minutes. People who survive the floods in New Jersey and New York said that they were shocked because the weather reports were that they were going to have a little rain throughout the week. Well that little turned into very big. You've seen in the news how much the water rises and just a little bit of time. Of course there's the tragedy from Texas. So I told my family we have got to get this straight or we are going to die. No reason to die being foolish when you've got time to be smart. We were serious enough that we even bought a quality raft, a rubber raft just like they use in Cruise lines. This is serious business, so don't laugh. Last year, 2024, the Fort Lauderdale City is only about 15 mi from us in Boca Raton, had rains so bad and so fast that the Fort Lauderdale International Airport runway had flooding that came up to the wings of the airplanes. Now that's serious. If that can happen just 15 miles away from me and I am not prepared? Then I have no one to blame but myself. So I did a lot of research and chose this bag not just for the family-owned business factor, but that when I saw what was all included I thought this is the ticket. They really have everything. The food bars are delicious. Okay this is not Gourmet but it's going to last you and it's delicious as delicious goes for emergency bars. They've got emergency bags of water, but also Has a plastic bottle, well made and enough to carry a quart of water. But in addition to that they've got the purifying water pills. They've got a Swiss army knife with all the bells and whistles. Poncho, mylar blanket. What I like about it is that it's a small enough bag for even a child to carry, yet sturdy and with a lot of room to handle all of the supplies. Like I said, I did a lot of research and this is the best. Keep it simple, but keep it reliable. Don't be fooled by other products with larger bags and with a lot of other bells and whistles that we really don't need and that will add extra weight where only a 6 ft 6 man of 250 lb would be able to handle lol. You cannot beat this product for the price. Again, get the four-person pack deal.

Great pack of prepared survival supplies. The emergency hand crank power "station" with flashlight, AM/FM radio, siren, cell phone charger is especially nice. We bought the deluxe kit for this. The water supply is not really adequate for a somewhat comfortable three days (but more would make it super heavy), so we added potable aqua water treatment tablets as well as a Sierra saw and Bic lighters among some other serious items we wanted. We also added some niceties, like small toothbrushes and mini toothpaste tube and kool-aid packets for flavoring purified water. Even with the extras everything fits nicely in the pack. We started thinking seriously about preparing for something like this after the earthquake/tsunami in Japan. One of the real five star things about this pack is the great customer service that Ready America gives. Our pack was somehow missing the nitrile gloves and dust masks. I contacted the company and said it was a great kit as is, but that ours was missing those items and was there a chance we could get them. They responded right away, and even though my original response with mailing information got lost, they contacted me a few weeks later saying they hadn't heard back. That's excellent not only to respond, but to keep on top of the issue. This company not only makes a good product but cares about its customers. First rate.

Bought this for some wonderful neighbors. They were happy with it to take on trips.

I found this to be great overall with basic nessessities. I did add a solar rechargeble radio/flashlight/ phone charger to round it out. I did the lets see if I can save money on individually purchasing items and concluded this purchase was less hassel.
