Dickies Men’s 1-1/4" Solid Straight Clip Suspender – Adjustable Fit, Heavy-Duty Clips

I read through the reviews when I was ordering. I had worried a little about the number of posts that the suspenders were too short. I'm 5'11" and weighing in at 370 lbs. I carry a lot of that weight in my belly. The el cheapo suspenders I got at a big block retailer were stretched to their limits, and every time I bent down to pick something up, the back clips would come off and fly over my head. I had seen Dickies at the same store, but only the ones that hooked up to the belt. My large belly puts much stress on belts, that's why I wanted to find suspenders, so that wasn't an option. I got these. Fears be quelled. The adjusters work just like it states in the Amazon description. Pull them up (though you might have to move them back if they are catching in the fabric) and slide to the new position, then lock down, and push the back bar flat. As for those "too small" reviews. Nonsense. The size marked is 1S (for One Size, duh). And I have about 8 inches to go on mine before they max out in length. So maybe if you are 6'7" and over 450 lbs, you "might" have an issue. Otherwise no. The clips grab well. I have not had them come off my pants or shorts unless *I* wanted to remove them. And that includes $60 in quarters (I hate laundry day.) They hold my pants up. They stay attached. They a great pair of suspenders for anyone who wants suspenders to hold their pants up. I've been rocking these guys for a month now. I'm one very satisfied customer. Thanks for listening to my review. I stated a lot of personal information because I want to be clear that I'm really putting these things through a test. And yes, I am currently working on loosing weight, and doing a good job. These suspenders make it easier to walk when I know my pants are going to stay up. :)

Great suspenders. My husband wears them with all types of clothes and he says his pants always stay put. Easy to use and comfortable.

Works perfectly, super comfortable and pretty sleek. Only downfall is clips tend to fall apart. If you are able to find the pieces, they are easily put back together. Other then that they are good

These are the best suspenders I’ve ever used as a costumer at the local community theatre! I ordered them for a plus size man and they held up so well - even through two hours of dancing and moving every night for two weeks straight. They didn’t leave any tears or holes in the pants they were used on. They feel very sturdy but not bulky or uncomfortable. Extremely happy with this purchase!

Original review below. Started out great but after less than a month, and maybe wearing them 10 times, the buckle/clasp that secures them to your pants are failing. The part that compresses against the jaws has bent and they no longer lock in place. It is just one buckle but you kind of need them all to work. I was actually able to bend the piece back into shape easily with my fingers which tells you how weak the material is. But after straightening it was right back to not working after I took them off that day and put them on another pair of pants a couple of days later. Maybe it is a fluke and I just happened to get the only one with issues. I really want to like these, and do like them.... when they work. I did lower from 5 strs to 3 stars. They should not fail in less than a month of moderate use. Going to try and return them and give them another chance. Original review These are the first suspenders I have ever had on. Wasn't sure if I would like them but I have no regrets for purchasing. They were super easy to adjust, are easy to slide off shoulders to go to restroom and slide back on when done. It does take about a minute to put them on the pants you will wear for the day but that is a very small time commitment for having peace of mind that you will not be mooning folks throughout the day. I can sit in a chair now without worrying about my crack showing. If you are like me with a big gut and no butt jut go ahead and hit the "buy now" button. Thank me later. As far as durability, I have only had them for three weeks now so too soon to say, but so far so good.

I had actually given up after buying my last lot of braces (Not Dickies) thinking that no one makes them to last more than 5 minutes. These Dickies ones are so good, it is refreshing to see nice strong clips again. OKAY I admit it was my own fault with continuing to chase that crappy chinese bargain that would actually be a bargain or more often than not a waste of time and money. My wife picks on me for channelling my father but I love them and I will be buying more colours. PS My teenage kids love the Dickies stuff and could not believe they did braces.

I was extremely heavy and found that a belt was not supporting my pants properly. I've lost 155 lbs since but the suspenders continue to be used around the shop. They are easily adjusted for height, the clips have never opened up on me. They stay exactly where placed and the elasticity of the bands has stood up extremely well. I can recommend these suspenders.
