This book has more about the history of neighborhood housing plans and architecture. The landscape photos start on page 80 of 214 and even after this point still have a lot of photos on mid century architecture. Overall, this is a Mid Century Modern book on homes and some gardens. However, it is NOT a landscaping book. I was hoping for before and after landscape photos but there are none. Also, the photos do not have the names of the plants. Had I seen this book in a bookstore, I would not have bought for my "landscaping" interests.

I was so excited to FINALLY have a good book to reference for MCM landscaping. I thought I had performed due diligence in researching but I failed. The first 40 plus pages review the ho hum FLLW times, some European architects and other such items. Boring and unrelated to the book title.The second part of the book showed some (and I mean a scant SOME) yards of MCM home. And the Kennedy's on a boat (?). Mostly black n white. No names of plants. No other region but California and a couple of other places.I have more pictures saved on Pinterest than this author has in her book concerning MCM landscaping.This is the first book I've returned to Amazon.Book isn't relevant.
