Power Maintained Foot Switch XF-402R, Single Pedal, 15A 250V, 7.2 Feet Cord with Plug,Cast Aluminum (Maintained Switch)

Made of metal and heavy duty. Industrial grade. Looks like it can take lots of abuse. I was surprised how big and heavy it is, and the cord is also heavy duty. My application did not require large current capability but the switch was made for it.

Pretty impressed on the weight and durability of this foot switch for the price. I'm using it as an on/off switch for a meat grinder to avoid having to touch the small button on my LEM 0.5Hp #8 meat grinder and keep both hands free while grinding meat or making sausage. To clarify, since there is little information in the description, when your foot is off the pedal and it is in the normal up position, it does not transmit power to whatever device you have plugged into the piggyback plug. When you press the pedal down with your foot, it does transmit the power to your device. I was afraid it would work in the opposite manner (like a temporary power interrupt switch) but it is appropriate for my application. I also plugged in a 1800W heat gun to test out the 15A rating and it worked no problem (120V*15A=1800W).

Works well, but the switch is NOT the 15A that's claimed in the pictures - it's only rated for 10A. Seems to work with my 15A saws, but but no telling how this'll be long term - very well could die prematurely or he a fire hazard - but at least it's in a metal enclosure

Good quality. Would buy more but of course its no longer available.

The side of the switch lists the ratings. It actually says 16 amps for 120 vac and 10 amps for 30 vdc...alternating current and direct current.

Very sturdy looks like it will last a long time.
