Quality Solution
EXACTLY what I needed to cancel unwanted reception and noise from my studio monitors. By purchasing a pair of these I was able to "fully" connect my audio interface (TRS outputs) to the XLR inputs of my powered studio monitors. Note:Consult your interface manual specs page to confirm TRS outputs(Tip Ring Sleeve). This will assures a balanced connection thereby cancelling out unwanted noise and reception. My sessions are so much more enjoyable now. I can now turn my powered monitors back up to a "powered" level without turning up any noise thanks to this purchase. Can't hear any noise but the ultra-low,desirable warm "shush" of the powered monitors when musically inactive. Gives that "studio intermission" vibe during breaks.Makes ya say to yourself:"Yeah...pro cables, pro studio.";) I have to remind myself to turn the monitors off most the time they're so quiet now. The supplied velcro is also good for keeping any excess length tidy tied behind my music desk. Be sure to order 2 of these if you are using them for the same purpose as they are listed in single quantity. NOTE TO ORANGE COUNTY SPEAKER: I inadvertently posted this review to the buyer/seller feedback section. The price was perfect and the cables arrived well packed and in good time! Thanks to Bryan the Owner of OCS! Thanks also for your replies to others questions as this helped me determine that YES,this is the QUALITY SOLUTION for connecting my audio interface/studio monitors.

they are good for those consoles that only give you 1/4 aux ...
Solder Joints are solid. These are not neutrik connectors, but are still of a relatively decent quality, and are serviceable. I think the company should sell smaller quantities of these, as 6 was a bit much but overall it was a fair price to pay after considering the hassle of building your own. ( To build these from scratch with neutrik HW would cost about the same ) The colors are bright and you won't leave them onsite, they are good for those consoles that only give you 1/4 aux out options, and for DAW's that need to go to xlr. So I took the risk and ultimately, it was worth it. Fortunately, the respective female 1/4 to XLR 6 pack comes with exactly the same colors, so my OCD is satisfied as well.

Pulled countless unnecessary feet of old black cord
Note: I've ordered a bunch of these GLS Cords and my original review works for all of the different products. The longest I have used is 6', and all of the connection configurations. Rebuilt reconfigured my sound rack in-between tours this year. Pulled countless unnecessary feet of old black cord, marked w/ sticky duct tape and electrical tape. Added an Ebtech Hum Eliminator (8 Channel XLR) and used these GLS cables to help keep everything straight. They sound great, and the color coding makes life so much easier. I actually ordered GLS Audio 6ft Patch Cable Cords - XLR Female To 1/4" TRS Color Cables - 6' Balanced Snake Cord - 6 PACK , GLS Audio 6ft Patch Cable Cords - 1/4" TRS To 1/4" TRS Color Cables - 6' Balanced Snake Cord - 6 PACK , and GLS Audio 6ft Patch Cable Cords - XLR Male To 1/4" TRS Color Cables - 6' Balanced Snake Cord - 6 PACK . Been happy w/ al of these GLS cords. They are easy to coil and the connectors feel sturdy and come in and out easily. The only bummer was finding that they offer a 2' patch cable as well. I've already wired the 3's in so I'm not going to worry about it. Good cable, good value, good sound.

Nice cables
They weren't super expensive. Decided not to make my own for this application. I plugged them in and don't intend to move them much so they should work just fine without the big name price.

Another perfect example of a super fine product!
I have purchased several cables by Orange County Speaker over the past months, both for my bass guitar playing and my new DJ business. As with my previous purchases, this particular cable exemplifies the amazing craftmanship and superior sound quality that Orange County has achieved. This was my second purchase of the same cable. I use both to connect my 18" subwoofers to my mixing board. I get nothing but perfectly clean sound. That's about the best way I can describe it. These aren't your typical, low grade Chinese imports. It's plainly obvious that no attention to detail was spared in the design and manufacture of the cables. I for one would never consider purchasing a comparable product from Monster or the many other over-priced companies. While Monster and the others have achieved their reputation through expensive and manipulative marketing, Orange County has done so by simply crafting an impecible product. Oh, and if you EVER need customer service - among the best out there - just pick up the phone and call OCS. You won't be hanging up the phone until you get every answer that you're looking for. No, I don't work for OCS. I don't even know any of them personally (which is a shame). And for anyone to post a negative review of any kind about the company or their products, I can only assume they are super uptight, or just have bad luck.

Bought these a while ago. Never had a problem but decided to open them up and take a look at all the connections. These are SOLID cables. Solders are all clean and each connector almost unbelievably tight, in a good way. I've always known my XLR and TRS cables to have a little wiggle/rattle to them but these are great. Next time I need professional audio cables I'm definitely searching amazon for GLS.
